If you find the LG C2 OLED too expensive, you can still get an excellent overall TV with the Samsung QN85QN90BAFXZA. It's a slightly larger TV than the LG, making it the best 85-inch TV you can get if you care about the biggest size possible. It uses different technology than the LG, so while it doesn't have the same perfect black levels, it gets much brighter, making it the better choice for well-lit rooms. It also delivers brighter highlights in HDR, and, combined with its excellent color gamut, it's an impressive choice for watching content in HDR10 or HDR10+. However, it doesn't support Dolby Vision, a common HDR format with most streaming content.

It uses viewing angle technology to help provide a wide viewing angle that makes the image remain consistent from the sides. Picture quality is great, but the other reviews that reference the UI are not exaggerating. Concrete example: changing the input device requires that you hit the home button, navigate to a sun menu, and then another submenu while, simultaneously, there is a button on the remote dedicated to a niche feature which allows you to use two screens at once..

Great picture, UI is legit awful

 But first, gonna unbox it, set it up, check a couple of the uniformity and other tests, and then compare it against the A90J in a bright room and a dark room. So super excited for this. Make sure to smash the like button, subscribe, ring the notification bell and all that good stuff. And by the end of the video, I want you to let me know if you're going to buy a Samsung, an LG, a Sony

 Easier just to pull these tabs and then pull the two pieces of the box apart and slide them out of the way. So let's do that. Got these two done. The box does seem a little tippy

 We have a cable box but almost never use it, we pretty much stream everything. In addition to streaming, I also use it for gaming on a PS4 and PS5, and as a monitor for my media PC. I would say I mostly use the PC for streaming rather than the apps on the TV, more on that below.  Here are the things I don't like about it:  - The UI is trash

 The menu on this TV is busy, limited in terms of customization, has ads on it that I can't get rid of, and has a whole separate menu for gaming systems. It doesn't allow adding gaming systems to the quick access on the main menu screen (or at least I haven't been able to get it to do this) which means in order to switch inputs to the gaming consoles, I need to do a bunch of navigating with the remote. It's frustrating.  - The settings are a nightmare

Great TV, but it loses a star because the UI is TERRIBLE

  The remote is another modern "minimal" remote with voice control. Sometimes you don't want to use your voice to do simple tasks. There's no INPUT/SOURCE button. $2300 list price and they managed to put advertisement buttons for 3 streaming services and another button for Samsung crap TV stations
