The Samsung QN900A 8k QLED is the best 8k QLED TV we've tested. It's a flagship TV with many features and a borderless design with some of the thinnest bezels we've seen on any TV. The main downside to getting an 8k TV is that there isn't much 8k content available yet, so you can't use it to its full capabilities.

It uses Mini LED backlighting, allowing it to get extremely bright, meaning glare won't be an issue, and it makes highlights pop in HDR. It has a VA panel with a sub-par contrast for this panel type because of the 'Ultra Viewing Angle' layer that improves the viewing angles at the cost of contrast, but its local dimming feature does a great job at deepening any blacks. It displays a wide color gamut, has decent color volume, and has good gradient handling, but there's some banding with shades of similar colors.

Unfortunately, its local dimming feature is only decent overall because it causes blooming, black crush, and there are some uniformity issues, like when there are black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. It's pretty disappointing considering it has Mini LED backlighting, and this can be distracting when watching movies in a dark room. If that doesn't bother you and you want an 8k TV, it's a great choice.

 I requested a REFUND , so far Amazon has not allowed me to continue without talking to a REP first.  UNSAT.  I have been a Amazon Prime Customer for over 20 years.

 These are not big box stores but dedicated audio/video companies.  Many of my acquaintances have projection setups and those are not for me. I want the largest screen I can get at a price point that doesn’t require a second mortgage. That puts me in the 85 inch range for LED and 83 inch for OLED
