Overall, the TU8000 is a good TV that's decent for most uses, though unfortunately it's a bit of a downgrade over last year's RU8000.

It had a pretty decent picture in my opinion. No complaints.

I paid around 300$ more than a Samsung TU8000 I tried for a week and the difference was night and day. I think this tv hits the price point of diminishing returns as you said it's twice the price for the CX.

When I purchased Samsung MU6300 for my college, I compared it to MU6500 and the higher numbered variants and the only difference I noticed was brightness and perhaps some contrast but no such improvements over colour and else. So if you can't find any reviews for TU9000, I would suggest that you compared TU8000 and 8500 or whichever TU models you can find to compare in next to next Rtings comparison. You'll find they are all really the same besides some HDR points (more brightness gets you better HDR), perhaps some contrast or panel type but even then a similar series does not have incredibly huge differences besides brightness. So in conclusion:- Check lower end models and see what differentiates them.

I tried a Samsung TU8000 and God was it awful. For 300$ more this upgrade was worth it. It seems in order to get a TV that does it all you need to spend upwards of 2k which was not in my budget.
