My future wife (who does not use reddit and is going back to university for a second degree) really needs a backpack. She likes my Osprey Talon 22 in terms of comfort, but feels that the design is too sporty and therefore can't use it because it doesn't fit with her clothing.

 This could have been better if it had a Shire like metal clip or a standard Timbuk2 clip.  And finally 2 things I don't like.  First, the top strap to the clip doesn't move well and so I had to use two hands to make it tighter or loosen it. This could have been better if it had thicker with less slippery strap, formerly typical Timbuk2 straps

So i've been looking around the onebag concept for a while now and i feel that im not that kind of a person that chooses a one bag specifically for traveling, i want one that i can use both for everyday carry AND weekend travels, like 2 to 4 days out, without being too big for edc or too small for weekend travels. I know this kind of usage can be pretty demanding for a backpack, but im expecting to be as careful as posible to not damage the bag so it last for a couple of years.

What i want to carry with me on a daily basis:

* Water bottle
* Laptop &amp; small peripherals (small power bank and a pair of usbs)/TCG Binder (Din A4 size album for mtg cards)
* Notebook (Din A4 paper)

* Reading book /Kindle like device (or both)

I feel that the new aer travel pack 3 "smaller" size (28l) does a good job, k, tho i also have the feeling that the 35l version is expensive enough to get it and have more room for whatever item i want to add last minute. On the other hand i feel that the compresion straps won't hide the side of it (both 28 or 35 litres version) and i dont want to look like im carrying a huge backpack all over my city.

 i love aer in terms of aesthetic, but as i stated before, may be there's not a middle point for that brand, or may be im exagerating a bit. I also know about the north face borealis and able carry day pack but for the first one there are different models and i dont understand a thing, for the second one iirc there is not stock available anymore for inside europe shipping and back color.
