 I don't know if I'm allowed to talk about the saddle in a bike review, but oh man. This new Wtb Silverado, Jeff's Kiss Fantastic. It's fun. It's a fun bike

 I'd say quite well For a trail bike, there's it gets a little more hung up than like some of the modern enduro sleds that you see out there, which I think is partially because of that higher anti-spot number, but the whole bike feels fantastic on pretty much any terrain that you'd throw at it on a regular daily ride. The supportive suspension on this bike feels really good in those pumpy sections, but can get a little chopped up when things get rough. I don't think it's like holding you back in a huge way, but you do notice it if you're riding this back to back with, uh, you know, something with a little bit more suspension back there. The geometry of the high tower is definitely modern and up to date, with one slight exception

 You can really pump into stuff and keep speed high. It handles jumps really well um, it goes through rock gardens.  That's the third version for those of you counting [Applause] At this point, it's a staple in Santa Cruz's lineup, and I've been riding this one for about a month now and I've got some thoughts for you. First, we got to talk about the updates. Oh, reach numbers have increased across the board, ranging from 430 for the size small all the way up to 520 for the Double Xl. I'm riding an extra large, which puts the reach at about 495 millimeters

 The high tower just works, and we could even say it climbs as well as any trail bike we've tested recently. So we've completed the climb and now we're pointed downhill again. The high tower leaves little left to be desired. We felt comfortable on any downhill we faced, whether it was steep and loose or fast and Floyd with lots of berms, there was a light feeling to the bike that made floating over tech or jumping a table top or gapping some rocks just effortless

 It has the same amount of travel as the old one, with a few upgrades and tweaks. The Vpp or virtual pivot point linkage design has been adjusted to reduce anti-squat in the first 40 percent of the travel over the previous model. Santa Cruz claims that this noticeably improves suspension sensitivity in all riding scenarios due to reduced chain influence on the suspension. Santa Cruz updated a lot on the frame, including the geometry with the flip chip

 Once we trimmed the bars and worked out the kinks in the suspension setup, we really didn't touch anything. The Santa Cruz Hightower is a wonderful bike. It's not heavy either at 31 pounds, 11 ounces without pedals. The Gx Axis Rsv build isn't cheap at 9 799, but it's also available in the R spec at 54

4 inch Maxis Dhr2s with Exo casing, and a 3c Max Grip rubber Compound in the front and Max Terra in the rear. Santa Cruz made a few changes to the Hightower to refine but not fully change the identity of the bike. It has the same amount of travel as the old one, with a few upgrades and tweaks.  We're going to nerd out here for just a second. Santa Cruz has tweaked some of the leverage curves and some of the suspension characteristics, so there's a little bit less anti-squat off the top, which should give you a bit better sensitivity out on the trail. The leverage rate is also a little bit more linear with more progression at the end. So what does that mean? It means the suspension is going to feel more consistent throughout the entire stroke and have a bit better bottom out resistance

 Santa Cruz has been on a heater. With suspension, it's getting really, really good and the new High Tower 3 is no exception. We're going to nerd out here for just a second. Santa Cruz has tweaked some of the leverage curves and some of the suspension characteristics, so there's a little bit less anti-squat off the top, which should give you a bit better sensitivity out on the trail

 It has the same travel, different geometry, and most importantly, a vastly improved suspension platform. Santa Cruz claims this is their greatest hits compiled into one bike. so is it? Stick around to find out. We're gonna quickly run through the new stuff with the High Tower Three

 We're gonna start with suspension so the previous generation or the first generation lower link Vpp. Those bikes seem to be pretty heavy on traction and a little light on fun factor and it makes sense. The lower link system came from the V10, which probably needs quite a bit of traction. Santa Cruz has been refining that platform in their trail bikes ever since and they are getting better and better, especially starting with the Heckler 9 that came out last year
