 so I tend to use that when I'm going out to places where I know for a fact the bugs are gonna be really, really bad, but otherwise I'll bring this. Typically this is what I'll have with me during the summer and then you know, early spring, late fall when the bugs are kind of dying off or if I'm gonna be in a place where there really isn't any water around. and I don't have to worry about a whole bunch of a whole bunch of bugs flying around. That's when I'll use the Lemon of eucalyptus

This insect repellent is unlike the lemon of eucalyptus. This one is actually artificially manufactured. This is not a natural chemical so it is toxic

 It is an artificial cam so it is not something that you're going to be able to just you know, use and think that you're getting something all-natural But there you have it, the Picard and insect repellent my preference.  I do prefer the lotion because it stays on longer. it's easier to apply, but picaridin also comes in a spray and it is dere safe so this repellent will not damage artificial or man-made fibers. Overall, it's been one of the best that I've used. I'd say it is probably the best and it's the one I most often bring with me but it works where the the lemon of eucalyptus worked and you know, low Bug densities

I've used this spray on two separate trips. The first was on the John Muir Trail in 2017. One bottle of this stuff lasted the full 11 days on the trail in early August. Those mosquitoes out there were biting me straight through my shirt, so it was very nice to have a spray that I could spray all over my clothes and not worry about fabric damage

Is not DEET and actually works

 It appears to be effective compared to the last time I was here when I used only DEET. The number of bites are far fewer and the pain tolerable. While I can't wait to get back to a mosquito free area, this product is effective.

  Unlike certain handsome Hollywood men who may get away wearing shorts or gasp, a skirt, I wear a full pant and shirts with half-sleeves as the first barrier, certain species do bite through the clothes. I spray DEET on my pant legs at the bottom end. I put on this Picardin lotion on my ankles and arms below my elbows. It is a lotion that goes on easy and is a tad sticky

Using it in Asia

I bought this because I wanted an insect repellent that would not harm any of my backpacking gear (mesh, nylon, polyester, spandex, etc). The product itself worked well at deterring insects and I didn't notice any discoloring/ integrity issues on any fabric which it was used. The only reason this would not get 5 stars is because of the slightly leaky bottle. The bottle has a small snap on cap directly over the spray nozzle and a secondary snap on cap over that

Bought this before a trip where we had planned to go hiking through the Rubicon Trail in South Lake Tahoe. Ticks were known to be a problem during this time of year and location. We wore shorts due to the high temps and sprayed our legs and shoes as recommended by others who used this. We're guessing it worked because after our hike we checked each other for the pesky insects and found none

Works...I think?

We have at least three different types of biting flies and this works for all of them!! I do a lot of work outside, and sweat a lot, so I attract a lot of flies. These bottles are continuous spray which is quick and easy. I spray myself all over and the flies will still land on you but they do not bite!! I am very thankful for it. I only gave it four stars because I consider it somewhat expensive
