GRX has a +2.5mm offset for the crankset and front derailleur, but is identical to the road geometry at the rear end;. As for your: first see if your bike-frame is DI2 compatible (access hole for the front derailleur wire), and then see from there what your desires are. Ultegra RX was made in a DI2 version (RD-RX805), but this one has now been replaced with the GRX derailleur (RD-RX815).

Shimano di2 is pretty solid and needs little adjustment., even over thousands and thousands of miles. Just don’t drop or crash the bike. I mean, I do clean and replace the chain, but damn, it’s solid and shifts well every time.

(I would like fully integrated cable routing). The Shimano 8050 Di2 is an amazing groupset, and so happy with the bit of extra money compared to a mechanical groupset. If I were to say one bad thing, it was vibrations from the road on the original tyres, but after changing to 28mm that's much better. It does seem like prices have gone up a bit in the past few years - but not that much when looking at the Teammachine models.

I'm thinking of saving for di2 on my next gravel bike - I tried the new GRX di2. If you're a gamer and like the tactile feel of a nice mouse button di2 will make you feel at home.

I like my 2x GRX di2 for my gravel. It is lighter (!) than the 1x, it has 16 effective speed for a bigger gear ratio range, with better gear spacing (assuming a 11-30 cassette). If you come from the road and are used to shifting, there is little to no downsides to 2x in my view.

Having two batteries means I'll never get stuck if one of my batteries die (can pop the front on the small chainring and use the rear). 12 speeds is seriously amazing. I can literally always find a "perfect" gear. Other than dropping the front chain twice because the shop forgot to set the lower limit screw in the front (easy fix), it's never missed a shift or made any weird noises or anything.
