The best chair I had was the steelcase and I wish my back could handle the lumbar. Ironically I have modified a Sidiz T50. The Lumbar pad on it is awful.

Did a tone of research originally for an office chair $200-250 and most of the items sold in Amazon, found tons of chairs with same images with different names (presumably made in China brands resold by various resellers) or chairs that cost well over $600 range. I would also suggest, as I always do (and even get some flack for it) to try the Sidiz T50 on amazon Europe. This chair I have never tried myself but have good reports on. It is pretty much a Zody-like chair with most adjustments, mesh backrest and a lumbar that is height and tension adjustable, along with 3D armrest, chair height, seat angle and seat depth just like most other chairs above (Steelcase chairs lack seat angle though, and Zody is kind of a weird adjustment but it does have it). The best thing about the T50 is that you get it new for cheap, and should probably have no trouble returning it for free to Amazon, and that's why I always suggest it to European passers-by.

Received this chair today with high hopes. I started to assemble it per instructions which seemed easy enough. However, the back of the chair did not slide all the way in into the seat due to defective parts. I could not secure the back to the seat due to the screw holes not aligned. I am returning ...

If you're interested in fully-featured mid-range price chairs, I think the Sidiz T50 is a great choice and is Amazon-shipped in US and UK so it's even more accessible if that's your case. If none are a decent option, I would honestly just try to settle with a cheap, yet OK Ikea Markus. Can't beat the price/performance and especially the 10y warranty which you only really get on much more expensive chairs.

The Sidiz T50 I have issues with the maximum recline tension being too short, the seat and armpads being a bit stiff and the headrest moving too much (which is the only chair with it, although one of my Zodies has an aftermarket one) but I have yet to find two same hexa screws to tighten it (requires both side tensioning...). The Leap v2 I could simply not conform to its seat and backrest but it was an old used chair that may have become stiff.

If you are looking into the ergochair check out the sidiz T50. I got one as my first purchase into office chairs and i like it, definitely cheaper than an ergochair
