Unsolicited breastfeeding advice is extremely annoying when you are asking about formula.

Similac pro advance is what we used for our first!. No matter how you feed someone is gonna have shit to say. It’s annoying. I’m nursing my second and often when I look for support I’m met with “stop complaining and switch to formula” people who formula feed are met with “why don’t you just breastfeed.” We as birth givers really cannot win.

We use similac advance and EVERY SINGLE CONTAINER we have is included in this recall 😭😭 I want to cry. It has been hard to find formula the last month. I am on WIC so when I found the small cans, I got them all. Found all 9 within two days so they're all the same lot number, which is included in the recall.

Newborn will not let us put her down at all...

They gave me pre-made Similac pro advance bottles (you can get a 12 pack at walmart for about $12) which were great. I'd start with nursing her for 10 min or so and if she still seemed hungry I'd switch to the bottle. She started out only drinking a few ml, but by day 3 she was drinking half the bottle.

Which, if it's been too long, I'll supplement with formula. Otherwise for formula, my partner mostly uses it on his shift. We use Similac Pro-Advance ready-to-feed formula, and I wouldn't have it any other way except premade, at least for now with my high-needs infant. She needs a lot of care and the time saved just grabbing a bottle is invaluable.

I didn't want to believe the news when they said it was coming. But all the stores in my area in eastern Alabama are out of my LO's formula. She is on the generic for Similac Pro-Advance.

How to afford childcare and diapers, etc.?

Just the amount of savings you'll get on Similac Pro Advance will be well worth it. The Kirkland brand baby supplies are just a tad pricier than Target's, but we like them more. Also, you can apparently get some tax credit for daycare! We are new parents and haven't gone through the process either, but it should help at least a bit:

Pediatrician recommends prune juice for 2 mo "constipation"?

A warm bath, tummy massage, bicycle kicks, bringing the legs up to the tummy and pressing on it a little, tummy time, a heating pad on the tummy, the FridaWindi also helped. Also, my baby was really constipated on Similac pro advance so I switched him and haven’t had issues since.
