Hi everyone, just looking for advice again, I posted here a couple of years back and you were all very friendly.

I've recently been looking for a bra that doesn't just feel nice, but also looks nice. Mine have usually been one or the other. I'm still amazed at the lack of uniformity on sizing, but generally, a 32 Band seems to fit me best, even though my measuremets are 32.5/33.5/34.5.

Cup size again usually varies, but is generally a C, or so I thought. I finally decided to go one over to a DD, and on first trying, this bra feels nicer than almost any of my others. Pictures are here: Next, 32DD, Balcony https://imgur.com/a/qdCQMjU

I think the comfort comes from being able to adequately swoop and scoop, and have everything contained. But, just looking for opinions on what you reckon, as it is a different size to anything I've worn before.

Fit check - I'm male but have breast tissue, generally shallow. The bra is Next, 32DD, Balcony, Non-padded, Underwired

Beautiful, but scratchy

 I find high apex bras work well with this shape. You should be able to get freya bras on the us amazon and I would recommend their high apex expressions bra.

I'm so frustrated I could punch a wall. The instructions for measuring yourself are about as clear as you could expect any written directions to be, but I am obnoxiously detail-oriented, and I'm certain I've overthought them/misunderstood them and measured myself incorrectly. (To put a fine point on that, I'd take the measurements multiple times, feel like I was doing the exact same thing each time \[scrupulously ensuring the measuring tape was parallel to the ground and all!\], and end up with different figures anyway)

**1) Measurements:** Loose Underbust - 29 in., Comfortably Snug - 28.3, Tight Underbust - 25.8, Standing Bust - 32.5, Leaning Bust - 33.5, Lying Down Bust - 32

I might have taken them incorrectly too but I can't do it again I took like 26 measurements

**2) Current Size:** My current bra size is 32A and it's fine, but I only buy bras from one place, and (as a card-carrying member of the IBTC) I am afraid to buy them from anywhere else or grab a cheap bra from Target in a pinch because I cannot guarantee they won't be loose/fit weird. I occasionally find that the underwire digs in as well.

**3) Shape:** I think I have slightly shallow breasts with even fullness, but trust me when I say I could be completely wrong about that.

I don't have any huge bra problems; I've been fine being a 32A and livin that 32A life, but I tried the ABTF calculator just for giggs one day and got a wildly different size and it has wormed its way into my brain. I have to know. What am I?! Is the bra from beyond my wildest dreams that makes my boobs look Magical waiting out there for me? It's not urgent; I just a crave a resolution.

The reason I think I might be the one person whose +4 size is perfect and who shouldn't Believe The Calculator is that I tried sizing my band down to a sister size once - 30B, not even a 28 like the magical calculator tells me I should wear - and it was so tight it was painful. I've had that thing for like two years, I wear it often, it's stretched so that it doesn't hurt anymore, and I still wear it on the loosest hook!! I just cannot imagine that I'm actually a 28 when a 30 tested my ribcage like nothing else ever has.

But I am an American, and my bras are from American Eagle/Aerie, so I'm wondering if it's possible that I'm being led astray by these blasted non-standardized American bra sizes? AND I also saw on the wiki that if a cup is the wrong size it can make the band feel too tight. So many variables. I just don't want to throw $60 - $100 at a 28DD on the chance that it's the mystical bra that changes my life and then look like a clown when the cups are gappy and the band is so tight it dents my skeleton

[Measurement Check] Currently wearing 32A, calculator says 28DD, I know you're supposed to believe the calculator but I really genuinely think I shouldn't believe the calculator

Your measurements are very similar to mine. I’d suggest trying Skarlett blue minx balconette in a 28D and Freya offbeat side support in a 28D and 28DD. I think these bras will be a good starting place for you.

As the title states, I’ve worn a 32A since I started wearing bras. I defaulted to that size since that’s the smallest you could ever find in-person at retail stores. 

For the most part I've had no issues with this size besides some gapping depending on what posture I have at any given moment. But lately my band has been SUPER tight this year, out of nowhere. I have some bras I just bought last year that are unwearable even on the loosest hooks. I've always been able to wear my 32 bands at the tightest hook, so color me confused. It was finally time for my first attempt at a measurement since I've literally never had one done before.

My entered measurements in inches were 29/28/27/31/32/31. The calculator gave me a US size of 28 C/D. 

Two questions besides "how is this accurate??": Why did I get two cup options of C or D? Should I err on the side of the "smaller" cup of C? 
Next, I was also confused as to why when I switched to the UK standard size (while keeping all of my measurements in inches), why was the UK size still 28 C/D? Shouldn't it have been something different entirely? 

I redid my measurements in CM (76/75/70/80/83/81) (note: I didn't just convert my IN to CM with Google so maybe this is inaccurate too, I was at a halfway point with some of my IN measurements) and got a UK and US measurement of 30C.

All that is to say that yes, I'm very confused about this size and whether I should rush out to buy a 28C or 28D or 30C bra. Based on my obviously rudimentary knowledge of bra sizing, I was convinced I needed to brace myself for being told I was a 34AA. 

Extra details if needed: I have shallow breasts that are bottom-heavy. Not wide-set, very average in that regard. AFAB, never been pregnant/no surgery.

<div class="md">Hi folks of /ABraThatFits! I&#39;ve been throwing around the idea of getting a bra that fits for over a year now. I&#39;ve used the bra size calculator 3 or 4 times since then, and it&#39;s always come back as 28DD-- quite a shock as I&#39;ve always gone for A cups. 

What I&#39;m looking for is a lined, preferably push-up bra. Almost my entire bra haul below is 100% unlined lace bras, which I didn&#39;t know when I ordered them. I swear they looked lined! Unfortunately, I don&#39;t think I can cope with the lace texture. Lace trim or decoration is fine, but just not pure lace, please.

Currently wearing:

<li>32A Victoria’s Secret push-up bra on the tightest hook. There’s a bit of gaping at the top of the left cup, and a bit more on the right (different sized breasts, right is smaller). I&#39;d say this fits better than most new bras I&#39;ve tried below.</li>
<li>34A Calvin Klein push-up bra that’s a total boob hat. Gaps a lot worse than the VS bra. Rarely worn.</li>

New bras I&#39;ve tried:

Panache Andorra - 30D 
Best fitting of the Panaches but still not good. The lace on top is a moderately wrinkled on the left cup (left breast slightly bigger) and a lot on the right, plus gaping. I’m struggling to fill out the inner portion of the bra, so maybe I’m not center full. The entire bra also feels a little too tight around the band and shoulder straps, but I think it might not be a big deal after like a week of wearing. 

Panache Marcie - 30D 
This was accidentally included in my recent bra order. Straps and band tightness feel fine. Fits similar to Panache Andorra but with slightly more wrinkling/gaping on the inner part of the bra. Worse than Andorra.

Panache Jasmine - 30D  
Band fits similar to Panache Andorra. Straps are roomier, so that’s nice. Has quite a bit more gaping on the inner parts of the bra than Panache Andorra, though, so worse than Andorra.

Panache Hettie - 30D 
This was also accidentally included in my recent bra order. Fits similar to Panache Jasmine, but worse as the straps seem to be wider set, so they dig into my underarms. 

Panache Envy - 30D 
Similar to Panache Jasmine and Hettie (read: not great).

Freya Deco - 28DD 
Huuuge gaping on top and close to the gores, the worst fitting of the bunch. Just seems way too big. Total boob hat. Band feels too tight— worse than Panache Andorra. But straps feel better since they have more adjustable range. 

Freya Fancies - 28DD 
Band is too tight, and I fill out only like half the cup (the outer bottom part). At least this one has a bit more support than Freya Deco. Probably the worst right behind Deco. Maybe a tie. 

Gossard Superboost - 30D 
Best of the bunch! A very tiny bit of gaping where the lace trim on the cup folds inwards. A bit more gaping on the right cup where breast is smaller. Band feels good. Straps feel fine. And NOT scratchy like most of the other ones that are pure lace. Best by a long shot! I&#39;d say this is slightly better than my current 32A Victoria&#39;s Secret push-up bra.

Final ranking:

Deco &lt; Fancies &lt; Hettie = Marcie = Envy &lt; Jasmine &lt; Andorra &lt; Superboost

[Recommendations] Former 32A Measured 28DD, But Can't Fill Out Most 28DD/30D Bras (Tried 8 New Bras and Reviewed)

This is an amazing bra : great design, comfortable and the band is as snug as expected. It's also amazing to have a brand that makes 28bands. The band are quite on the shallow side, which is great for me. However if you are not shallow breasted, I recommand to size up in the cup

My measurements are loose underbust-27.5”, snug underbust-26.75, tight underbust-26”, standing bust-31”, leaning bust-31.75, laying bust-31”. The calculator gave me 28D. I had been trying 30C bras as a sister size because the 28 bands I had tried felt SO tight, but in a previous fit check post, it was recommended I try the Freya offbeat side support. I ordered a few different sizes because I read some felt this one ran small. 

I feel like I should know because it’s my body, my breasts, but I’m really having a hard time figuring out which one fits me best (or maybe none of them do?). The 28 band is definitely tighter than I’m used to but not as tight as other 28 bands I tried so I actually think it would be ok (though I also tried some 30 bands as well).

The 28 band is definitely tighter than I’m used to but not as tight as other 28 bands I tried so I actually think it would be ok (though I also tried some 30 bands as well).

[Fit check] Freya offbeat side support, 28D-30DD

This lace bra is very feminine and it fits me very well. My husband bought me one for full price at a high end store and I loved it. Then by chance I spotted it on Amazon for much much less and bought three more colors. Great buy!
