Until I realized I was literally getting sun burn on my eyes. After that, I sucked it up and bought a pair of Smith I/O’s and I haven’t had an issue since. The interchangeable lenses are really nice too because my $30 ones weren’t dark enough for sunny days, and not light enough for night/storms. Having nice storm lenses makes it super clear at night, then having daytime lenses are perfect during the day and saving your eyes.

I have the Smith I/O MAG XL with ChromaPop Photochromic Red Mirror (20-40% VLT). It came with a ChromaPop Sun Black lens and I am looking for a low light lens to complete the set for those overcast / no sun days. Which one would you buy?

I like mine (Smith I/O Mag with one chromapop/photochromic lens + one chromapop cloudy day lens). Where I ski, there aren't that many blue bird days, or if there are, the slopes are often facing north or I go in and out of shady areas. So I like having that little bit of on the spot darkening. And on the occasional truly sunny days, they still offer good protection.
