A couple months ago one of my Sonos Play:1s started making that tell-tale crackling sound of a blown woofer. The unit is part of my bedroom pair and we don’t exactly throw parties in there so it was a surprize.

I'm again (and again and again) blown away by how much of a difference a stereo pair makes + TruePlay. Given that my kitchen was rarely a high volume listening area, the Play:1's are plenty loud enough and I'm getting to enjoy (and find again) stereo separation in a few of my favorite songs as I cook or clean. Figured I would share as a lot of this sub tends to always gravitate towards bigger is better, but I think it should really try to fit the space.

Ultimately, I think most people will be happy with the Play:1's sound, especially for the size.

Since Sub took care of most of the lows, the Play 1's shined a lot over the 5's to such an extent that I almost decided to return the Fives. The vocals were much clearer in 1's compared to 5's.
