I know you can’t get rid of pores but I’m wondering is there anyway to make them smaller? I use La Roche Posay products. They keep my acne mostly at bay but I feel like my pores are just so large. Part of it is genetic, but just wondering if there’s anything else I can do at home to help. Thanks!

 The replacement device is identical to the previous one as far as I can tell. The power button is equally squishy and I expect it will fail again at some point. Sony now only offers me 90 days of warranty on the replacement unit so I will now have to purchase a new one when this one fails.  It’s a good recorder, but at this price point, I would like better quality and durability

This is my review of the Sony ICD PX470 voice recorder after 11 months (Jun 2020 - May 2021). My overall recommendation is that is a good recorder and worth purchasing however there are a few blemishes that keep it from being ideal. First, with regard to sound quality it is clean and clear and perfect for all of the typical applications of a handheld voice recorder (classroom, meetings, dictation). In this one aspect, this voice recorder is superior to the older model Sony recorders

 As a work around I have set the auto-power down to 5 minutes. I will let the device timeout since the battery life is so outstanding and that will mean I only have to perform half as many actuations of the power switch. Perhaps this will extend the life. I will keep this review updated

Great recorder, but not as durable as older generation of Sony recorders

 However, I'd buy it again if all I had was $50 to spend. This one has the stereo mics. If I bought this again, I'd buy the model before this one which has mono mic(s) & uses a USB cable instead of a USB stick "IF" I could find the model before this one for $15-$20 less that I paid for this model.  The size is small enough to hide it in something like a folder or pocket and it'll pick up great sound without using a plug-in mic, which is the number one quality I like about this Sony ICD-PX470 model

Decent instruction manual allows relatively quick understanding of the basic operation of the unit

 I used a much more expensive Zoom audio recorder before, but that thing seriously took about a minute to turn on, and it ate through batteries, which was a big pain on run and gun shoots or long shoots.  Being able to plug this in straight to the computer is surprisingly handy and works well.  The device menu is easy and fast to navigate, I love that you can monitor your audio with headphones, and you can easily play back recordings on the device to check and see if everything recorded properly at the shoot.  Sound quality: I used this device with Sony lapel mics and it sounds good! My only complaint is there is a bit of a noise floor, a small hiss that is always present

 Good little device. Sound quality is ok, but I didn’t buy it to be a crystal clear, studio quality recorder. I use this for journalism. Sony makes no exorbitant claims about the audio quality
