Although there aren't many 85-inch TVs in this price range, the Sony KD-85X85K is the best 85-inch TV under $2,000. It's a well-built TV with a sleek design that looks great in any home theater or living room setup. It gets bright enough to fight glare and has decent reflection handling if you want to use it in a room with a few lights around. It also has a high native contrast ratio and excellent black uniformity, so blacks look deep and uniform, with very little blooming around bright objects in dark scenes.

Unfortunately, unlike the smaller models on this list, there's no local dimming feature to improve the picture quality in dark scenes or to help highlights stand out in HDR. It's also great for gamers, as it supports HDMI 2.1 bandwidth for 4k @ 120Hz gaming from the PS5 or Xbox Series X, and it supports variable refresh rate technology to reduce screen tearing. If you want to save a bit of money, you can still find the older Sony X85J for a bit less. It doesn't handle glare as well, so it's a worse choice for a bright room, but other than that, they're pretty similar overall.

 Now, in terms of features, I would say by far my favorite feature is that it is a Google TV, meaning it has Android OS installed. This makes it so easy switching inputs, streaming such as Netflix, Disney, Prime, YouTube, anything like that. This TV has it all and I absolutely love it. My favorite feature by far being that whenever you turn on an input, in order to achieve the features that you want with your HDMI, you actually have to go into HDMI settings and change them for each one

 Again, obviously, like any screen, you cannot push on it or scratch or anything like that. But as long as you're careful with it, it'll last for a long time. Sony Bravia X85K 4K TV Full Review!

 The Remote is also a trip. All in black, tall and lithe with teeny buttons, squinting was useless. A flashlight helped. Everything is comicated and I didn't know why

 BTW! The TV speakers are very good, decent, I could hear clearly, sharply and perfectly at lowered volumns! Back came OnTech to lower and loosen up the [their, not my prepaid] wall mount. Of course, the Giant had done everything backasswards; To make a long day shorter, the 2nd Tech was here for 2+hours. Now, I have a functioning TV, a lowered *secured* wall mount I can access, a sound bar that works. Two functional Remotes

 And especially in this current market where we got quantum dot full array local dimming televisions with all the bells and whistles, even smooth gradation, going for $500. This TV right here costs basically $1,000 for a 55-inch, where I can get a 55-inch with a higher level of peak brightness and all that other stuff. And you even get hands-free voice control on sets like the U8G. So and again, then that's the Hisense set

 The audio in the TV is crap. I mean, it's very tinny. You're going to need a sound bar. And the TV just doesn't do a lot to make you want to buy it

Sony X85K Review

 Gives off an extreme amount of heat. And the remotes sucks does not have a number keypad which is required for PIN numbers that most streaming services would like you to use for added security. Hard to keep those PIN numbers Secret when you have to choose them out on the screen. Not even worth the money I paid for it
