Received two defective products, forced to keep the second one.
I bought one pair of these headphones and they were defective out of the box. I returned them and the replacement was even WORSE than the first one. If two out of two of the same product are broken out-of-the-box, you have failed as a company. Sony doesn't even care either! My replacement order was ...
Best wireless headphones for the home office
This feature-packed pair significantly reduces the noise of voices around you and can sound fantastic. But these headphones are pricey and require a good deal of setup.
Best Wireless Headphones of 2022 - GearLab
Sony WH-1000XM4 is the latest iteration of a long line of great headphones, and it completely lives up to its manufacturer's reputation. Their sound quality is superb, providing crystal clear expression through the low, mid, and treble frequencies and offering a fine-tuned EQ that can balance that s...
How active noise cancellation for automotive works
Using Sony WH-1000XM3 myself. RTings has tested most ANC headphones on the market and published their measurement (not gut feeling) results:

The 1000XM4 are well known for being really bad for the price, they’re badly tuned. Best thing you can do is EQ them so they sound better but tbh I would rather sell them and get a pair of Sennheiser HD 560s instead
Just came to say the wf-1000xm4's are the best wireless earbuds made so far,
thank you.
Sony WH-1000XM4 review: A nearly flawless noise-canceling headphone
That's Sony's WH-1000XM4 in a nutshell. If you already own the WH-1000XM3, it's probably not worth upgrading -- it's just not that big a leap forward.
Sony WH-1000XM4 - the noise cancelling puts you in a different world if you are mobile.
Ask HN: Why get expensive ANC headphones when a cheap inear one can do it?
I kind of agree, not because cheaper earphones are good but because how disappointing the noise cancelling on the expensive models is. According to most reviewers the best pair right now is the Sony WH-1000XM4 and I ended up returning them after a couple of days because of the inadequate ANC. I imag...
Sony didn’t change much, but it made the improvements we’ve been waiting for
Regardless, the 1000XM4s live up to the strong reputation that Sony has built and offer more powerful noise-canceling capabilities than ever before. If the company makes good on its multipoint fix, you’re probably looking at the new top pick for noise-canceling headphones.
