This one has a wool liner upper is waterproof full grain leather The insulation is 9 millimeter wool inner boot the sole is plugged The outer sole is waterproof with a rubber Material so it is a Completely waterproof boot that is a little heavy a little bulky So that's something to keep in mind if you want to go hike at a long distance But these are just wonderful high grade winter snow boots So I mentioned popping into a review the first review is one that I wanted to take a look at real quick So this guy says my father recently passed and while going through his things I found his favorite pair of caribou boots

First bought a size 10.5, because that's what i typically wear, and found on arrival that they were significantly too big for me. Promptly returned them, and ordered (just to be safe) the next two sizes down, a 10, and a 9.5

 I'm hesitant to wear the 10, but am wanting to try a size 9, just in case. be careful when you order and be prepared to try on a few sizes before you find the right fit.

Weird Sizing- get ready to buy multiple sizes and return the ones that don't fit.

6 millimeters thick and for a really heavy-duty winter boot I was shocked at how thin that was. And obviously there's some pros to this as well because they are going to be a lot more flexible and if it does pinch down on one of your toes it's not quite as heavy of a rubber that you're gonna have to kind of break in. So there's pros to it but me personally if I'm buying this boot, this big chunky winter boot, I want it to be a winter tank. I want it to be super heavy leather, really thick sole, lots of thick rubber so that I'm shielded from the environment and I'm just not as concerned about the comfort for this boot because I'm not gonna wear this boot every single day

 It's about as waterproof as you can get leather without making like a plastic coating on top. But one thing I do like is that this tongue is gusseted all the way up. A lot of times in those the duck boot series we did, the gusset stopped at the second eyelet which made it not waterproof anything above like two or four inches or so. And the second issue that would lead to water leaking in is the fact that this rubber is prone to splitting after a little bit of wear

 So I'm a little disappointed in this boot because this is the boot that everyone says this is the winter boot. If you're gonna get a winter boot get this one. But fortunately the next video is we're gonna compare the five other most popular winter boots to really see which boot is the best boot for the money but also the best winter boot. Why is There No Positive Reviews of Sorel Caribou Boot? (CUT IN HALF)

 Not a big deal.  Warm: I wore them to the Winter Classic at UofM stadium. Given that it was below zero and we were just sitting watching the hockey game, they were pretty warm. Did end up putting a few hot packs down them, but no complaint

 they feel massive when they're on. but for 45 or 50 quid over much I paid I wasn't gonna spend 10 15 pounds sending them back so I just I kept them. but if you do want to buy them, definitely go a size down to usual because they are very oddly sized and massive man. but I do use these I use these the other day when I was fishing because I haven't got any wellies anymore and which they'll be another video of my wellies which I ordered coming up or idea I don't know and so I did wear them and it was less I think it was about six degrees and I could start to feel the cold obviously I was just sat there I wasn't moving about so if you're moving about it might be fine

 you can see the tread. they're not actually that bad in in in the mud. but yeah, they weigh and if you can see that nearly pretty much 1.2 kilos each each boot which is quite heavy isn't it? But yeah, you see the linings

Hello guys, and not a work boot or Wellington. Today we've got my I think they're classed as snow boots, aren't they? and but they're the Sorrel Caribou boots or Caribou boots however you pronounce it. and I got these last year on the Amazon Black Friday deal because my wellies are just just giving up the ghost my shmoes they got split in so I needed something quick and cheap really and to just tide me over and I wanted something warmer than wellies as well for when I go fishing. sat on the cold lake bank side

 But for me it's not about that, it's about keeping my feet warm and to be fair, they are waterproof. I've been I've been up to where you can see where I've been up to kind of lower lower shin height and I haven't let water in so in that respect that's good. but they're very clumps. um I'm usually a size 8 and UK 8 UK men's and but I do have a wide foot but the reviews people give these they said they say go a size down I don't know what size these I don't know if I went a size down or look yeah I went half a size down I'm seven and a half and I probably should have gone to a seven because they're massive

 Nice looking, fits well, is very comfortable and warm, and I can snow shoe all day in them.  BUT, I agree with PJC that they are "Definitely not good on ice or ground covered with a light cover of snow". The new hobnail sole pattern affords virtually no traction, which I quickly realized and have relied on my old gray beaters and a new pair of Men's Kamik® Alborg WATERPROOF Pac Boots, Tan that I have recently purchased, both of which have a lug sole pattern with excellent traction.  I am writing this review after mistakenly wearing my new hobnail Sorels to walk the dog early this morning, encountered a patch of packed snow covered by a light layer of fresh snow and suddenly had both feet slip out from underneath me to land flat on my back

 The new hobnail sole pattern affords virtually no traction, which I quickly realized and have relied on my old gray beaters and a new pair of Men's Kamik® Alborg WATERPROOF Pac Boots, Tan that I have recently purchased, both of which have a lug sole pattern with excellent traction.  I am writing this review after mistakenly wearing my new hobnail Sorels to walk the dog early this morning, encountered a patch of packed snow covered by a light layer of fresh snow and suddenly had both feet slip out from underneath me to land flat on my back.

 I said now it's most likely minus nine, 10. So minus nine or 10 or something like that is most likely the max comfort rating for these boots here, which is, in my opinion, completely ridiculous. I mean, I'm not a really cold, sensitive person, so that is not why I'm getting cold in these boots here. I mean, I can get by with mechanics gloves as long as I'm active, so to speak

WATCH BEFORE BUYING SOREL CARIBOU BOOTS 2018

I live in Colorado and we get a lot of snow! I was looking for a pair of boots that were warm and dry enough that I could wear them on snowy mornings without having frozen feet all day. These are the ticket. They keep my feet dry and warm even when I'm walking through a foot of fresh snow.  My only complaint is that they are pretty slippery on icy surfaces, even with snow above the ice

 With the intensity of the sun here in Colorado, the snow usually melts a little every day even in the dead of winter and when the sidewalks have been shoveled, there is a lot of ice everywhere. I've fallen wearing these boots a few times, so I just had to learn to stay away from icy areas. 5 stars if they had better traction.
