3 ounces, which is it's really lightweight, extremely lightweight and great for EDC. You know it's really not a delicate knife delicas. Just it's an awesome, awesome EDC blade, it's just for the size. It'S packed in a really big punch

 One of them is the price point. You know for this little ultra cool blade you can, you can have it for around 50 bucks and they've got tons of cool colorations. The vg-10 steel is pretty good by most standards and it's just just a great little lightweight pocket knife, so I wanted to give everyone just my thoughts, an opinion on the knife and kind of give you my take on it. Let me start off by giving you the weight, throw the scale up here, zero in and out all right, so the delicas looking at about 2

 You can also choke up on the blade like that, with your your top finger onto the spine of the blade. You know there's a little bit of a toil on the bottom, but it's not really meant for that, so I wouldn't recommend doing that. But I suppose, if you had to when you're doing up close cut tasks that weren't too too much that weren't too hard, you could do that, but there's no jumping right here, so I wouldn't recommend it now. I was talking about the texturization of this handle

 You know it just grabs right on the on. My thumbnail no problem, so it is extremely sharp now the delica wanted to give you guys kind of a size reference if anyone has never had one so we'll do a measurement. Spyderco Delica 4 Review - Its a Knife Delicacy!!!

 It had a VG-10 steel blade that was 3 inches long and was incredibly sharp. It had the Spyderco lock on the back of the knife about two thirds of the way down. I rather liked the old back locks because they are one of the most dependable blade locks on the market.  The problem was the design of the G-10 grips on the handles of this knife

 I quickly found it in the Benchmade Mini-Griptilian. It had a 2.91 inch blade, almost identical to the length of the blade on the Spyderco. It also had grips made of G-10, but the blocks on the grips were significantly smaller and did not seem to have the very sharp edge on them as did the Spyderco

The S30V super steel of which the Mini-Griptilian blade is made is incredibly sharp and will probably hold its edge longer than the VG-10 of the Spyderco blade. GREAT KNIFE-TERRIBLE GRIPS

  If this were a $15 knife, I could understand this sort of corner cutting. But a $65 knife with simple blade and no assist should have much better finishing.

I bought this knife with high hopes as it is well regarded at numerous sources online and had great reviews. I ordered the knife with a smooth edge full flat grind.  Unfortunately, the item I received did not live up to the $65 price point. The finishing of the blade was poorly done

For starters I like the thinner profile of the blade. The leaf shape design the Spyderco uses just makes the knife take up a little more room in my pockets and girl pants are not known for having extra roomy pockets. Also the blade don't seem as smooth to many of my knives. It's not rough, but when compared to the Ontario there is a big difference and requires more pressure to flick the blade open and when you add that to the sharp Spyderhole it's murder on nails

Good knife but not my favorite

 If you've ever taken the knife apart though, you'll quickly notice that this unsharpened part the blade is what contacts the internal back-spring when the knife is closed, keeping the edge from dulling. If the kick were any smaller or even any other shape, it wouldn't accommodate the sweep of the edge and that lovely sharpening job would quickly go bye-bye. It also works as protection for your forefinger when closing the knife one-handed with "The Flop" maneuver (if you have handled this knife or the Endura, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about). The VG-10 steel and heat treat is exceptional as always

 Even with the thinness of the Declica's blade, the edge stability, retention and toughness are amazing.

Great in pocket, good in hand.

3) VG-10 is aging. It's still an awesome steel, but it's just so much easier to find better now, for a comparable price point.

1) Value isn't as good as it used to be. 2020 money isn't worth so much more than 2014 money that the knife needed to increase 33% in price. There are better knives in the 80-100 dollar range than the Delica.

I've gotten 8 good years of use out of this knife, even if it hasn't been my daily carry for quite some time (I much more frequently carry my Spyderco Manix 2, Spyderco Chaparral, or Boos Blade Smoke TM2).

Great Simple Knife

 It applies this closing force from the end of the blade. That force is relatively strong enough to make opening the blade a significantly higher effort than the liner lock.

Good, but back lock means can't flick open

Spyderco makes excellent, outstanding knives. They cost more these days but you get your money's worth. Except for the fact that I own some of the more deluxe Spyderco models, I would have given this knife 5 stars. As it is, it's a classic and it easily gets 4
