Need recommendations on my first butt plug

I've been using the Squarepegtoys Egg Plugs to size up and train. What I've been doing to "speed" the process has been to go to sleep with the current plug im using in. After like 2-3 weeks of 3-4 days of sleeps with it in, Im generally ready for almost anything at that size and almost ready to try sizing up again. EDIT : Just took out a stretching ring from ballistic metals and inserted an Icicles No. 27 in place! Very deep piece. (Had to switch because of pain, stretching ring was very wide at base and it’s steel(also hollow), I’ll come back to it )

what would be the most logical or reasonable choice of toy to get me to 2.5 inches (or Beyond) my budget is $150-200 ( but it needs to be VERY GOOD.

How does one create an anal stretching routine?

Squarepeg egg/Oxballs Ergo plugs are regularly recommended and most likely suitable; for even shorter and still girthy - SquarePeg's blunt plugs may also suit.

Can anyone recommend silicon plugs that 1.5 to 2 inches diameter but not too long?  I find longer plugs irritate my bowels with longer term (hours) wearing. 

My largest plug is 5.25" circumference (1.67" diameter) and 5" in insertable length.  The fourth is perfect diet me right now, but the length is irritating.  So I'm looking for shorter.  

I know this means less taper.  I can comfortably use the big end of my njoy wand now which is 5.5” girth and spherical.

I bought a jewelled plug because I forgot about what I'd heard about them being uncomfortable. If anyone has tips about making them more comfortable, I'd appreciate that a lot. It digs into my cheeks a lot.

I'm looking to get another plug - this time better suited for long term wear - but it occured to me that a hook might be a good option. I'm curious what hooks feel like - as I've never tried one before - and I'd especially love to hear from anyone who's used both for several hours, especially if during mundane daily activities. I want to know how you'd compare the feel and what you think makes the best long term use toy.

I have had a look around for a plug I like the look of, but I haven't found anything so far. I'm mainly looking for T-shaped bases because like I mentioned, my plug (which is small and has a round base) digs into my cheeks, and I'm sure that a T will be much better. I'm willing to try a different shape if you think it's comfy, especially if you've had my problem too. I want something thats larger, including the neck.
