 Um, yes, you can get the bullet for a bit cheaper, but you're missing out on the sound quality and finishes in my opinion. and I was quite surprised again how good this one sounded compared to the American Strap. Overall, I really like what Squier has been doing with their Affinity series. I also used to own the Affinity Telecaster for a while and I really loved it

 Let's play a bit more. I can do that in future videos, but for now, before I end this video, I just wanted to do a quick comparison with my American Fender performer which cost again

 So yeah, here you go. So what are my final thoughts on this Affinity Strat? Well, I think this is probably the best all-rounder beginner, and even intermediate guitar you can get at that price point.  And just for fun, we'll also do a sound comparison with my American Fender Stratocaster that cost about five times more and the results might actually surprise you. Let's do it. You've got the Squier Mini with a smaller body and shorter scale length, so probably better suited for kids

Squier Affinity Stratocaster [REVIEW] - The BEST Beginner Electric Guitar?

Fast forward a fair bit and I really grew to love the Squier. I love how it looks, how it feels, how it sounds. The guitar changed the music I listened to as well as the music I was playing. It became my main guitar

You will need to set the front and back tone every 2 hours of playing time to get it to stay in tune. I went over this guitar with a fine tooth comb setting everything up. I stretched the strings. I set the front and back tones after making sure the neck was straight

 You kind of get what you pay for, but that's a really easy fix in terms of just sheer playability. It plays extremely well I Love the fact that it's light. I Really like the look of this guitar as well. Visually I Think it looks really, really cool

How Good is the Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster Electric?

Stay far away from cheap starter packs. Period. The best investment would be a good Squier affinity strat or tele, or even a Jaguar with humbuckers and the fender mustang LT25. The amp has a variety of settings and tones, and is super reliable, and the affinity series of strats teles etc, are very reliable for a starter

[NEWBIE] does anyone know a good quality electric guitar starter pack?

Got my affinity love the tones needs setup and i noticed it only had 1 string tree and it makes a difference.All in all im happy with it this makes my 10th guitar purchase from Amazon and ive been more than satisfied with their services.

 This has been the Fender Squier Affinity Stratocaster in a two tone sunburst. Very light. so light. It's nice demoing these guitars because they don't hurt my back when I'm hold them like this

 I Hope to compare this against a player strat or a 50s a classic vibe Squire and show exactly how this body is different. It's definitely a lot thinner, so when you pick it up and you're used to a A Fender Stratocaster you'll feel a difference. It just won't feel exactly like a full guitar and part of the the neck is also I Believe the nut is a little bit thinner as well, so those are things to me that are gone. It just doesn't feel exactly like a real guitar

 Three single coil pickups these are I'll get into the details on one thing what they are exactly later. So yeah, you got your standard neck metal bridge. Got a trim system here. five away selector cover on the back for the trim so you can get access to that and that change the strings as well

Is it Any Good? Fender Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster Full Review

I have been playing a Squier Affinity Strat for about 2 years since I started, and I feel like I might be close to advancing to a more intermediate level guitar. I can play a few good solos (Come on feel the noize by Quiet Riot is probably the best one), and when I try more expensive guitars at Guitar Center I am starting to actually feel a difference in quality, mainly the fretboard.

 I found this out after putting 12 gauge strings on this guitar in place to the tiny, mushy ones provided by the factory, which caused unwanted mechanical issues with the tremolo bridge. A five pack of Fender brand replacement springs cost me $10. I recommend you buy them with your first set of replacement springs and install them together. The spring upgrade is non-negotiable, so factor that cost into owning this instrument

 On the other hand, if you want clear, crisp studio tone, look elsewhere. This setup is better for blues, pre-Beatles Rock, and Punk/Noise/Shoegaze/Experimental. That being said, I think it's a nice instrument at a reasonable price-point.  One really positive thing about this guitar (which earns it one extra star) is that the neck is smooth and feels good in my hand

I bought this guitar because I wanted a vintage surf sound from a surf green guitar. The pickups are ideal for that purpose, and if low fidelity is your thing, as it is mine, you'll love this guitar. On the other hand, if you want clear, crisp studio tone, look elsewhere. This setup is better for blues, pre-Beatles Rock, and Punk/Noise/Shoegaze/Experimental

Good for beginners. Plan for upgrades.

 We get a really comfortable C shaped profile neck. It's a maple neck as well and we also get the rosewood fretboard. Now one of the cool things about this is we get three pickups like any conventional strap, but we also get the hum canceling positions in two and four. So if you're using these two or these two together, it's gonna basically stuff the bars

 These pickups do sound quite a bit thinner than, say a Fender Strat but if you buy one of these, you can of course upgrade the pickups and put something much better in there and you gotta get a great sound. Now even through the Fender Mustang I thought I was getting some pretty sweet tones. So let me know what you think down in the comments section now. I'll get so many people saying hey, when you review a guitar that's less expensive, don't use an expensive amp so this is probably the most budget one

Overall, so straight out of the box I'd Love to bring up the action slightly, especially on this E string. It was buzzing a little bit, but no big deal that's easily fixed, but just in terms of feel and how it you know responds when you pick and all that kind of stuff, it plays really well

 If you're at a buzzy venue or you're playing at home, you get a lot of buzz. That's your kind of jail free card so to speak. So yeah, we also get a tremolo bar as well, but it's wrapped up and being that this is a loaner, I'm not going to be opening and showing you that, but it does come with that Also, we get one volume control and two tone controls as well as a conventional five Way toggle switch.
