 So this is what the pencils come in see in fact you know sometimes kind of, but then you just kind of flap this back and then you have - and it sets up just like that. So that's really handy and I like traveling with this particular pencil set just because of this case. It really does come in handy and you know you can set it. I will see this if it's a super slick surface, this will slide all around

 This has a coating on it. Mmm excuse me that is kind of a it feels very matte and you can and it has a softness to it. So it might be something that an older person might like, or somebody that has issues with gripping. If you, maybe, if you have carpal tunnel or arthritis, you know, perhaps this might be a better pencil for you, because it is very comfortable to color with and, as you can see, the colors are nice and bright, and I really like their sap green and the Colors that are listed here they are, they are not what Stadler calls their colors their colors are numbered and you know they don't really have an actual color, as you can see

 I hope you're really honest. I do wish that. That'S probably the only change I would ever make with the polychromos is to not make the barrel perfectly round, but I will tell you this: it makes it harder to sharpen this pencil and so right when I I really have to work at it to get it To sharpen, but the points stay, nice and sharp, they don't break very easily. So I mean yeah they're kind of a pain to sharpen just because of the triangular shape and make it make

Hi! I am picking up the Mythographic coloring aquatic book and I’m wondering what I should use for my coloring as a beginner. I have heard good things about prismacolor and arteza.  So off to Amazon I go and I found these lovely bunch. I LOVE THEM! The ergonomic design is brilliant. I get no discomfort when I use these pencils for long periods of coloring. LOVE LOVE the thin triangular shape and I especially love the overall velvety feel of the pencils

 I use these pencils for Johanna Basford's Secret Garden and Enchanted Forest as well as a few Creative Haven coloring books. Also the case it comes in is absolutely brilliant. It is a nice plastic case that folds into a pencil stand. Holds the pencils very well and it is great for travelling

Hello and welcome to another review from color with Claire today, I'm reviewing the 36th set of stapler ergo soft pencils, which are their most premium coloring pencil line and they're wax based. They come in this sturdy tin, which features artwork by Johanna Basford, who endorses this brand for use in her coloring books. So, on opening the tin, there is a plastic insert which holds all the 36 pencils in place and that can be lifted out and removed. If needs be, the pencils themselves, like most Statler products, happen, ergonomically shaped triangular barrel for good grip, and they also feature very soft coating, which feels lovely in the hand, and it also helps to provide a non-slip gripping surface as well

Staedtler Ergosoft Colouring Pencils | Review

 It started feeling tacky to the touch and would rub off on my hands during use. I was so glad to put these away once I could afford some better quality pencils. If you're looking at these for coloring books, I'd strongly suggest another brand. Prismacolor Premier soft core pencils are a good alternative -- the set of 24 is three bucks cheaper here on Amazon and will perform far better

  Pros: Comfortable to hold, won't roll around desk, love that the case turns into a stand Cons: Small lead size, difficult to sharpen, weak color selection, rubberized coating may start to rub off, overpriced for the quality

 Overall, I'm pleased with the pencils, but disappointed in how quickly the lead wears, especially given the price. I'd give 3 star, but was lenient and gave 4 because I'm a Staedtler fan.

 There is also a coating around the lead inside the pencils to help protect the delicate lead from breakage. The pencils are not round, but triangular. I'm starting to get arthritis in my hand and the shape of these pencils are more comfortable for me to hold for a long time while I color. Last, but not least, the storage case maneuvers so you can lock it as a stand making it easier to pull out and return your pencils to the case

Super impressed with this set of staedtler ergosoft pencils. Having sets of Caran d'Ache Luminance, Polychromos & Prismacolor pencils, as well as regular staedtler color pencils, I didn't have high expectations for this set. They do bloom, but you can get a few layers and blending before it's too waxy.  I use the white pencil like a colorless blender

 They are comfortable in your hands the texture and the triangle shape of the pencil just makes holding them so much more comfortable. They blend really well so you are not loosing anything with the quality of the actual pigment of your pencils. If i could get the huge set of them I would really love that, they are my absolute favorite even over prisma and polychromos. I do a lot of coloring and drawing so anything that helps you ergonomically and still lays down color well is gonna get an A in my book
