Might I also add that the tarmac was taken to a specialized workshop when the recall was announced, checked over and fitted with the updated steerer plug. My previous bike was a giant propel pro 1. TLDR: do I buy a tarmac sl7 in a couple days or risk waiting until late 2022 to buy a madone?.

Note that I would not be getting rid of my Supersix Evo--this would just be in addition to that one. At this point, I think I've narrowed it down to the [Specialized Tarmac SL7 or the Scott Foil 10 (link is strangely dead on Scott's US site this morning). So I'm looking for something a little quicker, but I don't want to go with a tri bike or TT because I want to get something that's still fun to ride outside of race day. 90% of my riding is pretty flat, occasionally I'll ride some hilly courses but usually only a couple times a year.

I spent all winter with my TT bike on the trainer as a result. This is the only serious negative thing I can say about the bike. \- every once in a while I wonder what it would be like to ride the Aeroad or another aero bike like the Tarmac SL7 or Madone.
