Tern GSD

I was able to test ride a pair of ecargo bikes a couple of weeks ago, the RadWagon and the Tern GSD. Both are longtail cargo bikes with smaller wheels (22" and 20", respectively).

Interesting review, thank you. The Tern GSD starts at around 10 grand Canadian before tax.

I found that they are a great intro brand if you know nothing of the e-bike world. When I first started looking into Ebikes I found myself taking a peek at the Tern GSD but with all the accessories I wanted/needed to make into my regular commuter I was at 10K CAD...yeaaa I'm not that big of a cyclist or crazy about bikes, then I found the radwagon from RBP.

I test-rode a Tern GSD and RadPower RadWagon. The Tern was 3x the money and felt like 3x the bike, and it was the one I bought. So far so good with two young kids and their related gear, we've been putting about 100 miles a week on it.

These are quality, well engineered bikes. As a dad, I wish I had invested in a good quality cargo bike earlier in my kids' lives. They are now 8 and 5 and we get around on a Tern GSD (electric but we have lots of hills). The non electric versions of the above brands will give you a solid workout and some of them can be adjusted to have a sportier riding position.
