Tern Link A7

Other than that everything is really really good I really like this bike for the price point that you're paying for it.

The Link A7 definitely packs all the essentials that you need for your daily commute.

The Tern Link A7 pictured at the end of article is a good example of a folding bike with an unfortunate gearing combination of 36" - 72" gear inches, thanks to that 7-speed freewheel. It's a shame that manufacturers (big, small, good, or bad) continue offering bikes with 6- or 7-speed hubs and saddle the eventual buyers with slow bikes that are just heavy when it comes time to climb hills. And then to make matters worse, many come with a smaller chainring, too. Hence the reputation of folding bikes being slow bikes, or bikes that need more pedalling.

I own Tern Link A7 :) Been about 2 months, and have clocked minimally 250km with it so far :) Furthest being 71km on a single ride. I find that it is a great entry-level bike for beginner rider! :) Easy to handle with its 20 inch wheels. Can’t compare with Zizzo Liberte as I’ve not heard of it before (hehe).

Also, the magnets holding the bike together when it is folded are unreliable as well. Granted, I have been able to make things work and I don't regret getting the bike as it was $100 less than normal. Just the same I may sell it one day and upgrade to a better one.

[Take the Tern Link A7 for example. Of course a child can't ride them, but it's small enough for someone 4.6 feet tall while also accommodating someone up to 6.2 It has a telescopic steerer tube extension that goes higher or lower while fore and aft can be made with an addition of an [Andros If you don't mind the 20" wheel, it's a great adult bike. Some people would call them clown wheels but BMX have 20" wheels too.

I have a Tern Link A7 and it's really nice to have. Very convienient to bring on the bus or the train and I even have a cover for it that allows me to carry it on my shoulder as well.
