 I was only planning on a short run. I figured this was the time um it's about 35 degrees, so not super warm um, really the the temperature and conditions when all rain jackets should excel. I wasn't running hard. I wasn't running long where sweat was going to build up

The North Face Futurelight Flight Series Jacket Full Review

 It has worked incredibly well with maintaining warmth and releasing moisture from inside. I wear a Merino wool layer(s) under the jacket based on temperature and wind chill. I have done long runs (3+ hours) and short high intensity runs in the jacket and have zero moisture build up on the inside of the jacket. It handles snow and wind like a champ as I ran in -7 degree wind-chill today

 Let'S have a look at the outer fabric. First, so there's the face fabric. You can see the really fine threads that are woven really tightly together for a kind of natural water resistance. Now, let's take a look at the inside at the back here, oh wow, you can really see how fine that backer is see

 So the white that you can see is actually the membrane and the silver bits, the backer material, that that acts as a line of defense for the membrane Wow. So, while those gaps help with breathability, it also does mean that the jackets gon na be a little bit fragile, and with that in mind, I wouldn't be totally comfortable wearing this with a really heavy running pack. I'D just be a bit too nervous about the straps wearing through the membrane. So, what's a membrane actually made out of then well, the North Face have chosen a nano spend PU and to make that that involves thousands and thousands of tiny nozzles that spray, a matrix of super thin polymer, lay out in a sheet you'll, be able to see The image now that's an example of what it looks like it creates holes that are big enough for air permeability but narrow enough to be able to block out any moisture

Finally something that works!

 I don't even see it there's a bit of a breeze, so i'm not so i'm testing it as well to see sorry going uphill now testing the hood to see how well it stays in place um. Overall, as per my earlier review, i love this jacket. It'S so comfortable. The inner material is really really soft

So it's very comfortable uh keeps the water out and lets a sweat escape right about three games. I run maybe four uh, so i've got a bit more uphill today, so i'm going to leave it there. Overall, this uh north face light riser jacket with the uh for the flight series with the future light material is exceptionally good

 I'M reviewing the north face light riser jacket in the rain. As you can see, it's tipping it down. It'S uh been a very wet morning. There are puddles everywhere and it's raining hard and it's pretty muddy underfoot as well
