My wife and I each have an REI cot and a Therm-a-Rest MondoKing 3D, and the setup is very comfortable.

So, after a couple years of trying, I finally convinced my gf to go camping with me. She absolutely loves it but she likes her creature comforts like a comfy bed. She basically needs to have an air mattress which I'm ok with, usually. We got a nice big one to share but whenever someone moves (her) the other person feels it and wakes up. Instead of getting 2 separate air mattresses, I'm just going to get her a smaller one for herself and I'll find something else, and this is where my question comes in.

I don't really know what options there are these days but I like the idea of a cot because it'll keep me off the ground and it can be used for a chair when getting dressed. Does anyone else use something like that? Are there any brands or styles that you would recommend? A different setup you guys would suggest? 

I grew up camping with a tarp and sleeping bag on the dirt but now that I'm older I can't do that anymore. When we camp, we always stay somewhere that you park the car in your area so I'm not worried about weight or size, I just want something that'll get me a good night's sleep.

Camping bed suggestions? Time to replace the air mattress.

 The slighly more hardcore larger person might find this comfortable but if you're a lilly (like me) you will struggle to find comfort and will be better served by a double height air mattress.

Bigger guy review (6'2" 275lb).  PROS: Mattress is well made, seems like it will hold up with some care to avoid puncture. Very easy to inflate, however I somehow managed to rip the storage/inflation bag. Not sure if its prone to tears but would handle with caution

  CONCLUSION: A high end and expensive mattress for car/tent camping, lounging, etc where weight isnt a concern but size is. Well made but the value isn't there. Easy to use and very comfortable sleep. It is quite large when rolled up, so if you're looking for something more compact this isn't it. The trade off for the large size is the comfort. No more cold nights and deflated air mattresses!!

 This MondoKing is either a one off exception to that or Therm-a-Rest has slipped significantly. Straight out of the box the carry bag had splits in it that looked like they had been cut with a knife. I initially thought the pad might have been a previous return and had been cut when opening the box, but there were cuts multiple places in the bag. The pad arrived days before leaving on a multiday camping trip in Big Bend National Park so I blew off the shredded bag thinking I'll just contact the company when I return and a replacement will be sent out
