Good boot, black does not break in like the others.

I bought these boots as a gift and when they were opened and inspected, the insoles were disgusting. They were filled with dirt and pet hair. Everything else on the boot was in great shape, but it was very disappointing to pay over $200 for brand new boots and get something that was covered in debris on the inside. The boots are a great brand, just next time for future customers, check them out before you ship out

Great boot but check insoles!

 Forget about all that other fancy leather care stuff. Go look up Oregon boot wax.  I wanted to add some pictures but i see there is no pictures link to upload here.  the 4 star rating is because of the lace up eyelets with hooks being in between the bottom and the last hole up

 I wanted to try a totally different boot and style this go round. These have the feel that they will last me for many years.

 Firm above the ankle support. Quality material and construction of the boot.  You have the bottom of the lace up eye holes and then the rest of the way are hook thingys. But the last holes are eye holes which makes lacing the boots up not as easy or seamless as if they were all laced

I was really drawn to the look of the Black/Black Walnut color scheme. I ordered them in 11.5 wide. When I opened the box, they were really appealing boots

 I just love the look. The craftsmanship was great, the leather very solid, they were symmetrical; everything looked good. I have had them 2 months and have put about 100 miles on them; about half that distance on trails, and half on pavement. I love them as walking shoes

 Now after 100 miles, they are just getting softer and softer on my feet and ankles, yet they still feel solid as a good boot should. I also have a pair of these in "trail/crazy horse," which I picked up from a different outlet. I believe they are factory seconds, because the assembly is not nearly as good on those. The crazy horse leather is much softer and seems thinner than on the Black/Black walnut boots, but maybe that is just on my pair

 I don’t wear these to work. They r a street boot that is taken care of. I contacted Thorogood reference the 1 year warranty. They said they would honor the warranty but would prefer i contact the original seller

 I’ve worn them for about a week now and still have this issue but I can feel it getting better with time.  Overall it just takes a while to get the leather worn in, it will be uncomfortable until then. But the quality is there, worth buying if you don’t mind a little wearing in time.  Hopefully this will clear up in a week or two because otherwise the boots are very comfortable.

 Obviously this will go away as the boots are broken in and the extended break in time is due to the thicker nature of full grain leather. However, it is still painful and I haven’t yet been able to make it through a full workday wearing the boots. I got these boots after see recommendations from guys online who had them and loved them. I received the boots about 5 days ago and unboxed them to find an extremely well made pair of boots. The leather is definitely full grain and they feel like they will last a good long time with heavy wear.  The only caveat and the only reason they’re not 5 stars for me is the fact the seam in the picture on the inside of of the boot digs into my foot super hard

 Amazon is the only place that has my size in stock 7.5 EE which is kind of annoying. Is there some boot shortage going on? Anyways boots fit good as expected and comfy.
