I Hope this review of the T 500 was of use to you.

First off, the T500 is an old, outdated wheel base. T300 is a better solution. Secondly, given Fanatec's recent announcement, there's no point in going with Fanatec belt driven solutions right now if you have a decent and working wheel (and you do on the T300).

The T500 still to this day is a very good wheel. Looks like the wheel was kept under maintenance which is very good.

Since the wheel still had a month of warranty on it, I opened a ticket with Thrustmaster the same day I bought the wheel. A few days later it arrived and I followed TM instructions on how to take it apart. Eventually they sent me a replacement board after I assured them that I could do basic soldering. At the end I had a practically brand new Thrustmaster T-500 with the pedals (the ones that can be mounted two different ways) for less that $180.
