 I decided I wanted to upgrade from my circle hole in the ground firepit this fall. I like having a fire but my girls complain about the smoke (and really only like fires for the smores portion). I like to sit and watch a fire - its relaxing and its a nice social activity with friends and family. Anyway I bought this firepit and haven't looked back

Get ‘smokeless’ out of your mind

 The pit is heavy, so pick a good spot where you won’t have to move it often. It has a cover to protect from rain, but rain collects in the top forming a little pond made from the weight of the water collecting over the firepit hole. I think I will buy a pizza pan as a lid to the cooled pit and place it over the hole before putting the cover on. Although it doesn’t seem to have as much smoke as my last firepit, the smokeless feature doesn’t truly work unless you use the tiki bagged fuel
