So, currently have a Giant Trance 29 3, which has 130mm in the front, 115mm in the rear, both of which I'm bottoming out on my local Enduro trails.

I have been riding the local Enduro trails a lot this year, steep, rocky, rooty, with some jumps. The climb is basically a vertical access road. I also ride some typical New England trails, so I don't necessary need an Enduro specific bike, as it's not all I will be riding.

Budget I'm aiming for is under $5k, with the biggest stipulation being there are very few bike shops near me. Local carries Trek and Revel, most other shops are 2 hours+ away, so if ordering online is an option, I'd like that. I drove about 2.5 hours to pick up the bike I have now, so I'm open to that option for the right bike.

I don't know how much more travel I *need*, but I definitely need more. I like 29, but I've never ridden 27.5, not sure what's best there.

So, shoot me some recs to check out over the winter season.

5" wheel enduro category bike, and for $300 USD more, you get modern frame geometry, a coil shock, better brakes, Fox suspension, and a better seat post dropper. Same case for for the Specialized Stumpjumper EVO Comp, but only $200 USD more.

It's also over priced for what you get. Compare it to a Transition Patrol GX alloy, another 27.5" wheel enduro category bike, and for $300 USD more, you get modern frame geometry, a coil shock, better brakes, Fox suspension, and a better seat post dropper. Hi everyone, new to this community so sorry if this doesn't go off perfectly! I am looking at getting a new bike and my eye has been drawn to the Trek Remedy 8. The slash is also interesting but near impossible to get hold of so I have moved away from it.

What are peoples thoughts on the Remedy 8? Does the bike still hold up in 2021? Should I be buying a new bike with 27.5's? The geometry is also not a million miles away from my current bike so I am afraid of buying something not different enough....

I currently have a 29inch 120mmF- 100mmRear travel salsa spear fish and a 27.5 150-140mm rocky mountain thunder bolt.

Thinking of selling one and getting a longer travel Enduro bike and can't decide which. I normally ride pretty hard and push the 120mm salsa to the max
