They help start this whole bed in a box craze and the original mattress is one of the most popular beds you can find online. Now they do make a couple of other beds that we're going to briefly mention in today's video, but we're going to be focusing our attention on the Original

Let's move over to how this mattress fares for couples, and since its firmness and feel is so accommodating, we think it's very easy for two people to agree on that. So you're going to want to know about edge support and motion isolation. Motion isolation refers to how well the mattress absorbs cross mattress motion and the tufts and needle mattress does this pretty well

 This is a 10 inch thick mattress and it has only two foam layers. You have seven inches of a dense support foam on the bottom, which is a pretty common type of foam you find in these beds. And then on top you have a three inch layer of Tnn Adaptive foam which is proprietary to Tuft Needle. This is a soft, responsive, neutral feeling comfort foam

Tuft & Needle Mattress Review 2022 (Watch Before Buying)

I just got a Tuft & Needle Original queen mattress. Buying and unpacking experience was just fine. Good ship times, easy to get set up, didn't take long to 'plump' out.

To me, however, it feels pretty darn firm. Does anyone have experience with this mattress? It's not bad sleeping on the back, but side sleeping is a little challenging. I've only slept on it 2 nights so far and have woken up a couple times with hands going numb because my shoulders don't sink into it enough.

 I threw my back out about a year ago - and my mattress [before T&N] was incrementally, day by day, exacerbating my bulging disk. Also, waking up with extremely tight shoulders. 4. This was a difficult decision for me to purchase this mattress

 but much better. My shoulders are only a little jacked up anymore, way better. I think I may need a lumbar pillow.  So after two weeks of using this mattress

  Tuft & Needle may just be too firm for me. :( I cannot return it because I purchased through Amazon and the 30 day trial has passed. I want to love this mattress, I think the company has the right idea and is reasonably priced. So at this point, for me, it is an acceptable mattress at a reasonable price

We did not do the greatest job of taking care of this with mattress protectors and things so that is number one. Appreciate any advice for assembling a good DIY mattress - which type of foams to get, where to get them, where to get a cover, etc. Also, on average how much can you save over a good commercially-available foam bed for a king, queen, full or twin? A Tuft &amp; Needle foam twin can be had for around $350-400 if I remember right.

but at this point I didn't care too much. It is at this point I got onto 'chat' with Amazon and I explained to the customer service rep that my mattress had arrived without a box. The lady immediately asked me if I would accept a 10% discount on the mattress, and by the fact that the mattress seemed completely undamaged, except for the small stain/mark and the fact it was not fully expanded, I accepted Amazon's offer. Having slept on the mattress for a couple of nights so far, what I can tell you is the mattress is quite firm, which suits me

 No logo. Just wrapped tightly in plastic (as can be seen in the picture attached). None the less, I decided to unpack it and let it expand. I had decided I would let it expand for 48hrs before sleeping on it, and I immediately looked for any defects or stains on the mattress as I had a pressing concern that this was a 'returned' mattress due to packaging on arrival

But my final thought on my experience so far while laying on the mattress this morning and feeling comfortable, yet a little underwhelmed is that for $750, would I have been better off trying one of the more inexpensive brands like a Lucid or a Classic Brands mattress and saved myself around $350 to $400? I really don't have the answer to that, but I would love to find out based on my experience to date if there is any huge difference in these mattresses besides branding and most importantly, cost? So now let's talk about the pros who I think the tuft needle might be a good fit for. First off, it's a good option for those who want a very good deal. Right now, it's under six hundred dollars for a queen size

 Has some very good bounce to it, pops back into place very, very quickly. It is also infused with ceramic gel and also graphite as well. Now both of those are helping with heat dissipation and cooling as well. Big problem with foam mattresses is they trap heat

 It's going to come to your house in a cardboard box, so how do you unbox it? Well, first off, ask a friend for help moving it inside and into your bedroom. This box is quite heavy. You don't want to strain or hurt yourself. Then open up the top of the box, take out your rolled up mattress and place it on the frame or foundation, then slowly carefully cut the layers of plastic

I’m looking into Helix and latex mattresses. I’d say I’m a stomach sleeper 85-90%. My GF is a back sleeper 75-80%/side sleeper. I don’t want to waste any more money, but also am desperate for pain relief & good sleep

 GF and I moved in and spent a lot of money on a Purple mattress. I HATED it! Ended up going back to using the old Tuft & Needle and now at 3 yrs old it’s sagging and I can’t sleep. The purple mattress destroyed my hip/neck & haven’t been able to get rid of my sciatica since.

 And one of the great things about the Tough Needle is that it sleeps really cool because of this phone. Now below that we have a quick transition to the high density poly foam base. High density polyurethane foam is a really common material used in a lot of been abox mattresses. It's got a firm feel, quick, responsive pressure really supports the structure overall as well as the sleeper on top of the mattress

 There is some really good pressure relief here on the tough needle, but it still does a good job of supporting my hips keep my spine aligned in a good position. I Think that this is actually a really good choice for the back sleepers out there. and I'm rolling around changing position even though I am sinking into the toughen Edel just a little bit. There's a pretty quick response to pressure from the comfort layer, so don't feel stuck in the mattress at all when I'm changing position

 So some of my biggest complaints with the Tufnell mattress is that I don't think it's a great choice for heavier folks if you are a bit on the heavier side. I think you're gonna push through that comfort layer and you're just gonna be interacting with the high density polyurethane foam. that's the support layer of the mattress is gonna be a little bit of a different feel for you. and I Also gotta say, I don't think it's a great choice for these strict stomach sleepers
