 I felt I needed more moisture and was suspicious of the cetearyl alcohol and Ceteareth 20 of perpetuating my acne. I had been reading about squalane and I ran across this Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer. It has the HA and ceramides I wanted as well, just like the Cerave. So far I am really liking it! I’ve used it for about a week and I believe it has already made a huge difference in my moisture barrier

 As I alluded to before, I hate anything greasy or oily or sticky. This is not too bad in that regard. I haven’t worn makeup since I bought this, so I can’t say how foundation would work with it, but I suspect my foundation would work well with this as a base. A little goes a long way as well, so you don’t need a lot

 The ingredients seemed good and it wasn’t greasy. It was okay, but I wanted to try something else.  The price point is definitely a bit of a bummer. You're getting much more value here. More bang for your buck if you will. But if you know that those parabens were causing irritation for you at the end of the day, but you really, really like all the other ingredients you want A lotion that's lightweight that works well under makeup? That's really nice for the daytime

 I had a couple comments from you guys like hey, did you see Vana Cream Came out with a new moisturizer. I feel like you're going to be really into it so I went and purchased right away. Thank you guys for keeping me up to date! I actually love that I try to keep tabs on as much as I can, but of course there's things I'm going to miss.  When I got this moisturizer, I got it off of Vana Cream's website, and at that time that was the only place that I could find it, at least on Vannacream's site. It says where to buy and then it was just their website and that was it.  Sometimes if I'm feeling incredibly oily, then this is all I need, But most days I do like to use something that's a bit thicker at night, so something like this is perfect for me in the morning. They both work the same for me in that way, they both work well under makeup. I really don't notice that much of a difference when I have these on my skin throughout the day at all. They're so similar

- Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer: This moisturizer has a gel-like consistency.  It’s lightweight and moisturizes well.  Works great underneath makeup too. 

- Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser: This cleanser isn’t drying and cleanses well. It removes my sunscreen and makeup (except for waterproof mascara)

Hi guys! I’m 24 and have dealt with acne, oiliness, and redness/sensitivity for a long time. Once I switched to gentler products and got prescriptions for medication, my skin improved! Here’s what I use:

[Shelfie] My Routine for Oily, Acne-Prone, and Sensitive Skin

 It's almost as if you can feel the very moment it sinks into your skin. When my face is feeling inflamed/dry/sensitive/whatever, I live for that feeling.  As far as acne goes, I was in the midst of dealing with a mild, yet stubborn, hormonal outbreak on my jawline/neck area when I started using this cream. A couple weeks later I am still experiencing a spot or two in the same area but I have not broken out on the rest of my face, which is what would typically happen when a product is actually clogging my pores

 If I do find it is congesting my skin, I will definitely report back.  Overall I would recommend this. Just give it a try. Some people with oily/acne prone skin don't react well to squalane, and some do

 It's cosmetically elegant. Upon application you get this amazing and soothing cooling sensation, unlike anything I've felt from any other moisturizer. It's almost as if you can feel the very moment it sinks into your skin. When my face is feeling inflamed/dry/sensitive/whatever, I live for that feeling

 It's thin enough that it is easy to spread, and it sinks in well and quickly. It does leave sort of a satin glow/feel on your skin, but it's not what I would consider to be sticky/greasy. It's cosmetically elegant. Upon application you get this amazing and soothing cooling sensation, unlike anything I've felt from any other moisturizer

Oily/Dehydrated/Sensitive/Acne Prone

**TO Azelaic Acid:** Already reordered this. The first time I used it, it made me feel like I had a sunburn on my face the next day. After that I started buffering it (applying it on top of moisturizer) and only used it every three days at first. Now I’m able to use it every other day with only minor irritation

**TO Rose Hip Seed Oil:** I mix 2-3 drops into my moisturizer at night. It makes my skin feel so soft, and I love the luxurious feeling of applying an oil on my face.

**Aquaphor:** HG! We have multiple tubs of this around the house and I keep another one at work. I mostly use this on my hands and lips, but occasionally dab a little bit on my face when it’s feeling especially dry. I haven’t needed to do this as much though since switching to the Vanicream moisturizer. I use the baby one because it was cheaper on Amazon, but I don’t think there’s a difference between the regular and the baby version

**Maelove Glow Maker:** The jury is still out on this one. I heard great things about it, but considering my sensitive skin I should probably have gone for a vitamin C derivative. It irritates my skin, but I’m hoping it can get used to it the way it got used to the Azelaic Acid (see below).

 On the other hand though, my skin is on the oily side and most of the time it does not help that and makes it worse. One time I use it it feels nice and smooth without being greasy, other time it feels greasy right away and I don’t feel clean/ soft, more like a little sticky side. This may be about some other products I put before though—so I’m not sure because most of the time my hand does not slide on my skin like it does right after cleansing. I probably need a lighter moisturizer cause it is little heavy on my skin and not very easy to spread so sometimes one part ends up with more product than it should have and I have a pimple the next day in that exact area

 To sum it up, I stopped using this on the mornings and just using on night time and I won’t purchase it again. It’s a clean product that is very moisturizing and I’m sure people with dry skin will thrive on this. But does not belong to my oily skin with a super oily t-zone.

It’s like our relationship has its ups and downs and I’m trying to find ways to make it work :] The things is, it’s super moisturizing and makes my skin look and feel healthy and fresh. \-If I wear makeup, I always double cleanse with an oil first (micellar water if I'm feeling lazy)

\- I alternate nights: one night is exfoliating (BHA toner, Good Gene's), one is retinol

 I love the basic list of ingredients, and I love that it does not contain niacinamide or any unnecessary fragrance. My only gripe is that I wish the amount of squalane was a bit less and that the ingredients which can contribute to fungal acne would be removed from the formula (stearates/alcohols). Oh! And I would switch to a pump bottle! Other than those issues, its a good product for the value and initial concept.

I have Oily Acne Prone Sensitive Skin. I use this moisturizer right after my shower in a thin layer and it really just calms my skin down and provides the perfect amount of hydration. I love the basic list of ingredients, and I love that it does not contain niacinamide or any unnecessary fragrance. My only gripe is that I wish the amount of squalane was a bit less and that the ingredients which can contribute to fungal acne would be removed from the formula (stearates/alcohols)
