I tried 4 separate USB-C cables before I got the right one. Bafflingly, ViewSonic doesn't include the necessary USB-C cable in the purchase. The instruction manual included also doesn't specify the necessary type of USB-C cable, so I had to call ViewSonic support twice.

The monitor made an irritating high pitched noise when used with USB-C connected to a MacBook. I returned the monitor. The picture quality is decent for a budget monitor but text is not particularly sharp.

Sadly, this does not come with the screws necessary to mount the monitor on anything other than the cheap stand it comes with. This is a very annoying oversight.
