 Unfortunately, I didn't buy with prime (which I usually always do, this just slipped by) and Amazon's answer would have been to pay for half the cost of repairs at a repair center. Fortunately, it was within the return period, so I processed it as a return instead. Now to wait until it comes back in stock to try again! (Yes, I was otherwise happy enough with it to try again. It will be 5 stars if I get a functional unit!)

A mostly good monitor for a good price, but I got a solid vertical line of bad pixels within 2 wks.

 Now since we're talking 144Hz and I mentioned console gaming, if you're currently owning a console like Xbox or PS4 you could just plug it into your HDMI, use it for your console and after a while when you decide to move on to gaming on your computer PC or if you decide to switch to PC you can easily use it because you can use its 144Hz which is kinda an advantage comparing to PS and Xbox definitely. So if you buy it for your console you can switch to PC gaming when you decide and still get those high FPS without screen tearing thanks to 144Hz. When it comes to the power consumption you have a couple of modes so eco mode conserve is basically 17W while optimized is 21W. Typical consumption is 24W and the maximum is 30W

 On top of that all the top and side bezels are very thin which gives you the idea to place one more monitor right next to it while not making too much of a distance between the two screens. Which means when you place a monitor right here next to it as I mentioned it kind of looks like they're connected. You don't have those thick bezels which kind of stand out and give the all together look of a monitor just like the bottom line right here. This way it looks really nice, really clean and when you connect it for instance like I did with my ViewSonic XG here at the back and the other monitor right here they have thin bezels and they're basically looking like they're a whole except for the vertical one of course

 But when I switched to Witcher 3 the dark areas were a bit too dark so I switched it to standard mode and then the whole colors kind of let's say stand out and the Witcher 3 in dark areas was pretty good. But if you use it for FPS in those kind of adventure games it does kind of look a bit different and strange. Viewing angles are great since we are talking here about the IPS panel and not like the older model where we had the TN panel which kind of had a problem when it came to watching the screen from different angles apart from being centered in front of you. All in all a great monitor with amazing specifications and for gaming on a budget it is brilliant

2 and a power in 3-pin socket. Also I must mention that it has 2x 2W speakers which makes it nicely suitable for console players as well. ViewSonic XG2405 is definitely an advanced model when it comes to ViewSonic XG2402. With some new cool features and with the old that were worth keeping, like headset hanger and cable routing option, ViewSonic did an amazing job. Specifications are outstanding when it comes to budget gaming monitor which has everything you need. You can use it for console gaming and if you decide to switch to PC, those 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time will give you the edge you need on the ViewSonic XG2405.

 It is a 1080p panel, so fhd full hd, which isn't full anymore. These days, which is kind of funny. It is a 144 hertz ips one millisecond response time. The more budget monitors now are starting to have a lot of the features that you would only find on

 It'S also a 24 inch panel when i was uh first getting into high refresh rate panels to get a monitor. That was a tn panel with remember. This is ips would have cost me 300 six years ago, back in 2014, when i first started, you know playing around with some of the high refresh rate stuff, so you would get terrible, color recreation. You would get um again, 144 hertz and then one millisecond response time now

 Second, that's a very simple way of putting it so with graphics cards becoming as powerful as they are today. Having a 1080p panel at 144 hertz means it's going to be perfect for shooters. It'S going to be perfect for uh any sort of esports title that where fps matters because remember fps, can have a direct relation to your input lag so getting higher fps without screen. The fact that you can now get an ips panel - that's 144 hertz one millisecond response time
