 Now its Osd buttons are certainly finicky, but the rest of the overall build quality and the stand of the monitor is certainly impressive here. You've got a three side borderless design, and while the bottom bezel could be a little bit more premium lifting, I have no certain inherent issues here. The 27 inch form factor doesn't take up too much space on terms of my setup. Now, you have also got a fully adjustable stand whereby you've got height, tilt, pivot, and rotation available to you

 Now here, the standard mode doesn't give you that much of a good response time, while the advanced mode has a good blend between the overall response time of the monitor and the amount of inverse ghosting that you're going to occur. Now, in the Super Fast mode, you will notice significant amount of overshoot. Now, this is perfectly playable, at least in my opinion when you're playing a potato game such as Cs Go. If, however, you're playing anything graphically intense such as let's say, even valorent or even let's say, Halo Infinite, or Destiny 2

ViewSonic Elite XG270

 The end result is we don't have that nice, balanced response time mode we need for optimal performance. Instead, it's a choice between two bad options, and the limited selection of overdrive modes doesn't help. It also means the Vx2705 is not competitive with other Budget class 1440p 144hz Ips gaming monitors. Many of the other options around this price range all perform substantially better in motion clarity, and several of them also pack better features

 The Gigabyte M27q includes a Kvm switch. These three monitors are generally priced within 50 of the Vx2705, and all simply perform better and end up better value offerings. The only areas where the Vx2705 appears to be an improvement over its predecessor, the Vx27582kp Mhd is in the design, which is nicer overall and peak brightness which is a bit higher based on the units I test it. The fact it retains features like decent factory calibration and uniformity is nice, but ultimately doesn't make up for downgraded motion clarity so at the end of the day

 nothing unusual there. They also may wanted to have resolved some of the flickering complaints that plagued the Vx-2758 I didn't see any flickering with the Vx2705, so that may also have dictated a hardware change maybe a change in scalar for example, but in the process of updating this display, it seems Viewsonic simply forgot to optimize the overdrive settings for its new hardware. The end result is we don't have that nice, balanced response time mode we need for optimal performance. Instead, it's a choice between two bad options, and the limited selection of overdrive modes doesn't help

ViewSonic VX2705-2KP-MHD Review, The Best Budget 1440p Monitor Gets Updated

If you are really concerned about response times, the MSI MAG274QRF-QD is up there, review for that monitor available here: [[URL REMOVED] for the ViewSonic XG2705-2K, I'm really interested in this monitor as well. It uses the same panel as the VX2705-2PK-MHD, which is a successor to the popular VX2758-2PK-MHD. My concern is that the older model has a lot of reports of flickering at 144 Hz (which can be fixed by lowering the refresh rate to say, 142 Hz). There are no reviews for these updated models so it's hard to know if the issue is still there

Input lag and response times on IPS monitors are excellent nowadays, coming pretty close to TN performance. Since you are going up to 144 Hz it should in fact feel a lot faster, and ghosting shouldn't be an issue for high-end IPS monitors, but more budget options seem to do a decent job as well.

I  currently have a Dell SX2210 21.5" monitor @ 1080p 60Hz and have always  been very happy with it for gaming (FPS, MOBA).  Now ready to upgrade  and my current favourite (and I'm limited on budget) is the ViewSonic  XG2705-2K 27" @ 1440p 144Hz with FreeSync for AU$499 from Scorptec.

The  main thing I'm concerned about is that in going from TN panel to an IPS  panel, I'll start to notice input lag and/or response time issues  (ghosting, etc.).  Can anyone confirm if this is likely or not?

1440p Gaming Monitor Advice RE: Ghosting &amp; Black Smear

PSA: This is the highest I would rate ANY MONITOR FROM AMAZON

 Everything else can be adjusted, including the speakers, so this could be a great monitor. If you're trying to attach it to some sort of a console playstation or Xbox, you have an Hdmi, you have a display port, you have a possibility to connect additional speakers or headsets to to it, and it has speakers and you can adjust the volume through it, so that's really cool for you guys that play on consoles. Uh, what else is there left To say the design is just amazing. The only thing that is, I wouldn't say bugging me, but for instance, you have a triple monitor setup and you have those buttons on the right side

3 and above. Uh, I think they will acquire it with the monitor because otherwise it won't make sense giving a cable with the monitor that it doesn't support 144 hertz and the monitor is 144. So if you choose the first one and I'm going to click it right here, if I choose the first one, it has 1080p on 120 Hertz refresh rate and this is the reason most of you on my Xg2405 were commenting about the refresh rate and why do they promote 144? Well, you need to scroll down a bit and it says Pc which kind of makes sense and it has 1080p resolution and it has refresh rate Exactly the one that it needs to be shown on your gaming monitor which is 144 Hertz. So yeah, uh, Hdm sorry

5 millimeter jack for your headset. The design is definitely flawless when you think about it because it has a nice brushed well it's plastic, but it looks like brushed aluminum. You have a rotating head over here and you can easily remove the stand with untying the screw from the bottom of the stand and basically taking it apart. but that's completely a different story for something else

 Uh, what else is there left To say the design is just amazing. The only thing that is, I wouldn't say bugging me, but for instance, you have a triple monitor setup and you have those buttons on the right side. I can't access this one quite easily so I have to stretch either from the bottom right here or from the top. and that's the only thing that I would suggest adjusting everything before placing it on a triple monitor stand or placing it like this and then you're good to go

ViewSonic XG2705 - Great budget 144Hz IPS 27" monitor!

Bought a ViewSonic XG2705 (1080p) and am really confused. Upon looking up my model number Energy Star says it's a VA panel, On ViewSonics website they say it's IPS. I am regretting purchasing this monitor but am otherwise happy with it. The only points I can knock off is that the viewing angle is kind of meh
