This is not a very powerful blender. My wife tried to blend a pesto sauce. It was a struggle to work the mix so that the blades would turn. She had to dump all the mixture out in a bowl, stir it by hand to blend, then pour it all back into the blender

 Also, if you blend at level 6 or higher for much more than 30-40 seconds, it emits an odor as if the motor is going to burn out. Also, the variable speed makes a jump between levels 4 and 6. It's a stretch to rate this blender 3 stars. Can't recommend it

 Okay, now you can make this at home just get yourself a Vitamix. This is too easy, then get yourself some crusty earthy bread to make some good PB and J's nothing can be better mess. So what are my thoughts on the new vitamix Explorian E310? Well for $ 349.95 USD with a five-year warranty, it's a very good value! Now the things that lacks is so minimal because it makes up for them whether it's legendary Vitamix blender quality

This blender has a lot of power and can blend things up nicely, but it takes more work than it should, I think it's because of the narrower 48-oz pitcher. I tried the 64-oz wide-based pitcher and it worked much better, and I needed the bigger size anyway, even for just myself. (I'm using it to make meal replacement green smoothies.)  I make 4 smoothies a day, it’s a very important part of my diet. I cannot have broken blenders, I just feel like the leaking lid during cleaning is the lesser of two evils. I can always deal with a little soap bleeding out, if the unit didn’t turn on due to error codes from the safety switch on the lid, I would be forced to skip meals. So E310 it is

 But to be honest I’m a little disappointed. Let’s start with the quality. As a whole the unit seems sturdy and well built. Except for the lid and the variable speed knob

A little disappointed

This is a very good blender that I bought for small and medium batches but ended up returning. Even though it is advertised as good for making smaller servings, those still would splash the food items high up the walls and lid of the container and waste the contents unless you used a spatula to get them out. The motor housing has more plastic and less insulation than higher end models which is expected at this price but that does cause a bit more noise but not enough to be a problem. It is about the same as the 5200

 The 5200 does blend better in my opinion but the E310 but both will liquify anything you throw at them. For the price, I would have kept the E310 if it could have made single servings. If you don’t need smaller servings, the E310 is a very good blender if you want the Vitamix brand.

For that, I had to find a blender with the classic smaller base size and those are limited to the 64 ounce size so I ended up with the 5200 model which might be their most versatile as it can make great blends of any size

Great Blender But Not The Best For Single Servings

This model of Vitamix was loaned to me for several months while a friend was away with family. I never realized how different a Vitamix blender is from the traditional models you can pick up at almost any store. The ability to make fresh soup in minutes, from raw vegetables, as well as blend the garlic cloves without peeling them blew me away. There is no trace of bell pepper seeds, the garlic skin, or any bits you wouldn't want in a creamy sip of soup
