Sorry Vizio, I really wanted to fall in love with this sound bar but I ended up returning it. The major issue for me was the EXTREME volume of the sub woofer. Even on the very lowest setting the woofer volume was overwhelming. I spent hours on the internet reading about this problem and a good number of people are reporting the same issue

  For people that REALLY like over the top bass then this might be a good choice. But if you live in an apartment then you neighbors will end up hating you, LOL.

 It took it about 3-5 seconds. Then the volume would get really low and it was taking too long to turn it back up.  On the good side of things the software in the app for fine-tuning the sound was the best I have seen when it comes to so many ways to adjust things.  The other thing I really missed was the ability to have the sound bar play music on it's own like the SONOS and BOSE do

Really wanted to like this sound bar but ended up returning it.

1. I bought some speaker stands for the rear surround speakers, they are made for speaker wires the run hidden inside the stand telescoping tubes. Unfortunately, visio cables require molded cea connectors at each end so the cables didnt fit inside. Not visions fault I'm just noting for others

1 so I spent the extra almost $200. 3. The adjustments for the speakers are minimal from speaker position + to -, that's it. I expected much more Possible if paired with a vizio tv there is better integration than with my sony x90j

 Also, there is no SHUFFLE function with the player and if you turn the sound bar off and then back on, it starts at the beginning of the playlist. It's like the player for the USB drive was an afterthought. And very little thought, at that.

With the volume cranked up, the sound is pretty good. I found that I had to increase both the Bass and the Subwoofer settings to MAX in order to get any sense of bass and that was only at the higher volumes. And I am not a bass freak! I don't like bass overpowering my music. When you turn the volume down so the music is just being heard as background music the bass all but disappears entirely

Does not play MP3 files on USB drive

I live in an apartment and wanted a Dolby atmos system. While the surround sound does work… I don’t think it’s anything special that a regular 5.1 surround system doesn’t do. You can adjust the height channel but it doesn’t sound like speakers are in the ceiling to me

 To me it is just a glorified center channel.  I have no issues with the mix or quality of the sound. It could be louder and more powerful but I am totally satisfied for this price point.  My biggest issue has got to be a connectivity problem with my TV and APPLE TV and it’s becoming a frustration

What has happened repeated is after the Apple TV enters sleep mode or screensaver, and I come back to resume a show. The audio plays for a few seconds and sneakily fades out (sometimes I don’t notice for 10 seconds because I think it’s just a quiet part in the show)

I will start off with the good. It sounds great for the price your getting has some great effect for Dolby atmos and dts.x sound. Very movie theatre like in my living room which I love

Really good sound for the price

This soundbar sounds great out of the box. Great solid bass, good highs and mods as well. The one issue we experienced was that when listening to Dolby Atmos vis eARC we would randomly get no audio for 5-10 seconds every hour or so. Not a major issue but definitely something that was annoying and not what we wanted from a $400 investment

 When it lost audio going from app to app on my Chromecast that was the last straw. Shipped it back. Shame, seemed to be nice otherwise, but I'm not spending $$ for a bar that i have to remind what its input is every time i change apps!!

It worked great for about 2 weeks, then every time i turned on my tv, it would come on, and have no sound. I had to keep telling it to use the HDMI-ARC for audio - even when it was already selected. So frustrating. Tried all kinds of things, moved to digital audio

I’ll start by saying this soundbar sounds really good. The issue is very loud crackling when switching between content or forwarding/rewinding with certain content. This seems like a widespread issue based on reviews and online forums. The biggest frustration is that their customer service is pretty much a joke
