The best budget 58 inch TV is the Vizio V585-J01. It's an alright overall TV that's good enough if you're looking for a simple TV for watching your favorite shows and sports. The Vizio SmartCast system isn't as advanced as the smart platform on some other TVs, as you can't download any extra apps besides the pre-installed ones, but you can cast anything you want from your phone.

It's different from the Vizio M7 Series Quantum 2021 because it doesn't have any extra gaming features like VRR support. Still, you get low input lag and a decent response time, but there's some black smearing behind fast-moving dark objects. It looks great in dark rooms as it has an incredible native contrast ratio, and even though there's no local dimming feature to improve it, it still displays deep blacks with minimal blooming.

Sadly, it has a narrow viewing angle, so the image looks washed out from the sides. Also, it's not the best choice for watching DVDs and cable TV because it doesn't upscale lower-resolution content as well as other 4k TVs, but you won't notice the difference unless you look for it. We tested the 65 inch variant, but the results still apply to the 58 inch model. All in all, it's the best 58 inch TV available for a low cost.

Pros: -absolutely Massive beyond expectations -worth every penny especially as an upgrade if you haven’t in 5+years -input lag non existent with V engine on -once you get the tv settings and color options dialed in it’s a visual spectacle, out of the box it’s kinda average though. -Dolby vision makes it comparable to Oled/Qled Cons: -not cutting edge enough to be future proof if your a gamer/enthusiast. Would be if it had 120hz mode -chromecast does not have my local news app so it’s useless I’m sticking with fire tv - VRR not usable because nothing uses it when 60hz is the standard anyway & thats the max it can do.  Overall I’m very happy, I bought this as a living room TV for the family and I can’t unsee how huge it is every time I go back to my 50” in the bedroom

Perfect HUGE, budget TV for Everyone

I own 2 vizios and one is a early model the other is this it is blatantly obvious how much their quality has gone down since even 3 years ago I have a E55 and then this V series the E has metal legs much nicer speaker grills and better physical build plus the remote is much nicer and easier to use on the old one the plastic legs on this model and the remote that feels bear bones both make me want to replace them however the product works fine just why would they change their products to be worse?

  1) Allow Bluetooth headphone connection. This cannot be hard as the remote uses Bluetooth already. 2) Allow reprogram the shortcut buttons on the remote.  Some of the shortcut buttons are useless
