 It was just really kind of too crispy for me. But again, give me a comment below. Was I off on that? Did you like that? Did you not like that? Now, the third thing I really don't like about this amp is there is no middle Eq control. There's a base and there's a treble, but no middle Fender does that too, like on the Fender Champion 20 and some of the old Fender amps as well

 The second standout feature of this amp is the price. Right now it's about and ten dollars. With shipping off Amazon to get it to me, it'd be about 121 dollars. So I think it's a phenomenal amp at that price point

[NEWBIE] What should i get as my first Amp?

  What is has. Gain control & channel, volume, bass and treble. Using the gain channel as a distortion doesn't sound great to me. In fact it sounds like a can of bees

  I use it for true bedroom practice. and just wanted something that I could run my pedal board into that had a little character. We also have had a Roland Microcube in the house, but it is very sterile sounding. The Vox actually carries that Vox tone and has a bit of warmth

 For the price, less than a cheap effect pedal or video game with some DLC, this is an awesome value and really good clean practice amp. Again, if you need to practice your Meshuggah riffs, you need to look elsewhere. A tiny bit of reverb and delay sounds really good and for open chording or practicing with your headphones on, this is a great investment.

5 Steps To Get A Blues Tone On The Vox Pathfinder 10 (DEMO)

The master volume helps,  but it’s harder to get good tone at low levels. Tube amps often have a natural hum and this becomes the noise floor. My amp of choice for that location at the moment is a $100 retail Vox Pathfinder 10,  which gives me a decent tone at a 4am level.

Fender player + blues jr amp/similar
Fender MIA + mustang/champion amp

Ill be exclusively playing at my small apartment, so just trying to decide what will work for me better.

I will try the guitars out in person, so will be open to different shapes of fender + brands, but those are pretty much my template options.

[QUESTION] Electric Guitar + Practice Amp Suggestions

 There are so many better amps out there for the same price if not less. Hate to be critical of a VOX product but i dont know what they were thinking with this.

I LOVE VOX amps, my favorite amp brand, and got this just to have around as a small practice amp, and honestly i dont like the sound. It does not even come close to capturing any of the quality of the better known amps such as the VOX AC-30, i did not expect that, but I did expect it to at least hint at the quality. There are so many better amps out there for the same price if not less. Hate to be critical of a VOX product but i dont know what they were thinking with this
