I began using ouroriginal Peanut many years ago, when we chipped in with my mother in law to purchase anOster A5 2-Speed Clipper for grooming the 4 dogs between us -- the Peanut came free as a "bonus item" with our purchase.  The Peanut looks and feels cheap, but got an unsolicited thumbs up from my barber when I was talking about dog grooming with him. And over the years, I really came to appreciate the Peanut's small #30 blade for the tricky spots where the large Oster A5 blades wouldn't work: paws, face, and nether regions.  The Peanut reliably cut into the nooks and crannies between the dogs' foot pads, around loose skin under the chin, and in the sensitive belly region without a nick or cut, ever

  I don't use any of the combs that come with this. When we tried, they tended to fall off, and as it was, this trimmer didn't work all that well on longer hair. No, this Peanut excels at close-cutting, finish trim in tight areas -- places where larger trimmers and clippers are awkward, too noisy, or too big for the job.  A good little tool to have at the ready!

 Having not reading reviews here first, I decided to use a comb to keep the razor from coming to close to my face which worked well yet after trying the shallowest guard, it’s use got my beard where I wanted it with ease  Having said that, had I known about the guards earlier instead I would have used the tallest guard initially so to have a fuller beard  I should explain that although I’m 65 years of age, it wasn’t until I grew this beard out, it’s the first time I ever really sported a fuller, thicker beard, and one I enjoyed wearing as I haven’t had the time to keep my face clean shaven. It’s true, I’m working harder now than I ever have and just don’t have the time to keep a clean shaven face  I should mention at one point before using the one guard, I tried cleaning up my beard free hand (w/o) the comb and actually came too close which left a sort of divot in my beard which necessitated that I had to take off more of my beard in the surrounding areas so it looked more balanced. Again, at the risk of repeating myself, had I known initially how to use the guards, I would have left longer whiskers to achieve a longer, neater beard. Live & learn, and like a bad haircut, it will eventually grow out  I found another use for my new peanut razor, manscaping, but only after fitting a guard to this razor

Powerful Motor, easy to get a nice shave!

Decent product but it's overpriced.

I like the lil trimmer, its blades are sharp, easy to trim those finer neck hairs. You can shape up a neck line easily. I feel like it is powerful & you better be aiming for the right spot to trim because its to proficient at its job! hahaha, you don't want to make any mistakes trimming! Its a little loud, but it does a great job. The missing 5th star is due to its loudness

 I wish I'd had this when I had my beard, it would be an excellent tool for beards. Before I shaved off my mustache, I used the Peanut for trimming and it really worked great! It worked great to shave off the mustache, too. I've removed my mustaches with various tools, and the Peanut is the best yet. I'm a craftsman who enjoys using good quality tools, and this is one of them

If I have a few days (or more) of beard stubble, I use this before the razor. I don't go too high up on the sides, just a trimmer-width or less over the ears, and somehow the top always seems to come out fine (staying long enough to part and comb nicely)

I love my little Wahl Peanut!  I had recently bought a large, barber shop grade Wahl Electric Razor for my hair and beard. And I was NOT disappointed in that razor. It is the best razor I've ever owned.  But although it works perfectly for shaving my head and beard, it was a little cumbersome for the mustache / nostril area

  UPDATE: Sept 19, 2021 This razor still works exactly the same as before except is has actually gotten louder over time. To be honest I rarely use it anymore. I've since started cutting my own hair with the full sized Wahl and while I'm at it I shave my face as well with the same clip so all my hair including beard and 'stache is all the same length.  The Peanut was fun while it lasted but just doesn't hold up over time as the main source of hair trimming

A good purchase. I recommend this product. But beware, this shaver is quite LOUD!

 This worked well for many years though it wasn't with out its issues. However i don't think it was ever meant to last this long nor to be used how i used it and it finally started to become weak and dull. Plus now growing and maintaining a goatee i needed something that could do more precise edges and that had guards so i could keep it a uniform length. One day at my parents house i started using a rechargeable trimmer that they had and half way threw it died on me leaving me in a panic! I remember my mother (who use to be a beautician, and still did the occasional hair cut for family) had a wahl peanut trimmer
