With different combinations of the rate, division and shape knobs and tap tempo, everything From traditional tremolo to inspiring unique waveforms will help you carve new Paths that you won’t hear anywhere else. Harken back to vintage tones inspired by fender Brown face amps in harmonic mode. A low-pass and high-pass version of your guitar signal is modulated opposite of each other, or 180º out of phase (high and low frequencies Rise and fall opposite of each other). The result is a warm, almost “chewy” tremolo. The Division knob can be set to quarter, triplet, eighth and Sixteenth. Wave shapes can be controlled via the shape knob. You can move between sine, square, ramp, lumps and Monument mode (random). a special feature on the Monument is the bypass switch also has a momentary function. When the switch is in off position, press and hold to temporarily activate the effect to add a moment of texture. Releasing the switch turns the effect off. When the pedal is on, press and hold the bypass switch to ramp up the tremolo rate. Release the switch and the rate will ramp down to previously set tempo. Setting the depth knob at 0 and the volume knob above unity creates a clean boost.

 Kind of bubbly on that monument setting I like it. I'll show off those new features now probably should have done this sooner. I'm sorry that speed ramp there on the harmonic now we'll check it out on the standard tremolo and now I'll plug in the expression pedal and show you how easy it is to change which knob is being controlled by the expression jack I've got a I've got this guy down here on the floor sorry I don't have a camera on it but you'll just have to believe that I'm using it. So to set what you want to use you hold down both foot switches for a second and then you twist the knob that you like this time I'm doing the depth turn it back on

 So by the way these come stock set up so that the jack is set up to to bridge different tapped up tempos together so you have another pedal like a delay or something like that say like the arp or whatever else you can bridge that tap tempo with that other pedal so they're both tapping to the same subdivision. To change it over to expression there's this little plastic jumper component here you have to move it to where I have it now to the left it starts off on the right position for the tap tempo control in the left position. You get control over the expression jack so pretty easy not that hard it's all in the manual it took me a second to figure out.  I'm not gonna mess with the volume knob. You know what a volume knob does and I need it to stay there for the demo. There is a subdivision control linked to the tap tempo. You know how to use tap tempo, right? Subdivision and tap tempo is a really important thing that honestly should be included in pretty much all modern time-based pedals these days

 I realized I would not be able to put up with the noise and, sadly, returned it.  It seems to me there ought to be a way to mitigate the problem, perhaps by using an opto-coupler bypass. For a pedal in this price range, I would expect flaws such as this to be resolved - even with the slightly lower price than when I purchased it in January 2020. I would purchase this again if the problem was resolved

 Here I have a square wave set to a fast pulse, and I have a little bit more output to really and with the harmonic mode set to a slow speed it can also double as a phase or vibe, especially on that sine wave.  So you will need to use an external power supply.  Build quality is good, but I am concerned that the paint may chip easily as paint in the screw sinks has already come of. Not a big deal but made me think about paint quality.

 So that's a really nice feature to have in a tremolo pedal always, I think. Now this pedal sounds just luscious and lovely. You heard it on all the guitar parts on that track at the beginning of the video, of course, and I used a whole bunch of different modes in it. It's got a really, really nice kind of vintage quality to it, but yet you can do modern kind of stuff with it

 And hey, I hold her in my hand. The first pedal that I've done a demo of for Walrus Audio, and it's a really, really nice sounding pedal. This is the Monument Version 2 tremolo pedal with Tap Tempo. So there was a Version 1 of this pedal that also had Tap Tempo that managed to shrink the pedal down now into a smaller size, thus the Version 2, and keep the Tap Tempo

 Now the standard mode sort of makes me think of black face fender style tremolo, and the harmonic mode is more like that brown face style amp. It's got a slightly sort of more chewy edge to it, a kind of watery tone, a slight psychedelic thing going on. I love phase shifting and univibes, and it kind of reminds me of that sound yet in a tremolo. I don't know how else to describe harmonic tremolo, but I believe it's achieved through some sort of phase shift, and so I guess that would make sense

 You've got a rate control here if you want to override the tap tempo tremolo and you can also plug in an expression pedal and make it do either tap tempo which is what I'm doing today so you'll see that it's getting faster now or slower or you can alternate the little jumper switch inside the pedal and tell it to modify any or pretty much all of these controls that you see in front of you but I'm just going to use the tap tempo facility for the time being. The clean tone from this wonderful Albert Lee. Depth control obviously is going to increase or decrease the depth of the tremolo. In fact if we wind it all the way back we've got ourselves a clean boost

 The tremolo sounds have actually been improved. I think they sound fuller or richer or something and then we've got all of the expression control facility as well as the multifunction bypass switch. It's a very cool little tremolo pedal. The level controls are beauty because sometimes a tremolo can get lost in the mix on stage
