As for the RidgeRunner, like many reviewers have noted, you have to set it up JUST right for the lay to be perfectly comfortable. Just an inch adjustment of the suspension on either side can make a noticeable different in the hang angle and tightness. For me there's not a specific formula for getting this right, but rather something that comes easier and more inuitively with experience.

If you are set on the double layer, I recommend considering Warbonnet Blackbird XLC or Warbonnet Ridgerunner (bridge) instead of the Hennessy. I own a Hammock Gear Circadian, and when I purchased it the salesman (Harry) told me that he uses one himself all the time and he weighs 280 lbs and is 6 ft 4. Hammock Gear has a good reputation and I believe Harry.

Double layer is unneeded weight if you will always (or nearly always) use an UQ and leave the pad home. If you like the lay of your heavy car-camping hammock, consider the Warbonnet Ridgerunner. You can get custom carbon poles for it that significantly reduce total weight, but it will still be heavier than a GE.

Its a very solid, innovative, easy to setup, and functional shelter system. I have a warbonnet Ridgerunner double layer, and I use a neoair xtherm pad (size large for a snug fit in the pocket of the warbonnet).
