I like Wrangler 13MWZ. They're under $30 on Amazon. They're shrink to fit, so buy them big (1" each way). These are like the classic denim from the 1960s

What are some other options I should be looking at? Far as budget goes I would like to keep it under $50 if possible, $75or $80 if it is worth it per pair.

BIFL Jeans But a Little Different

This review is for the rigid indigo cowboy cut original fit model.  These are pretty decent jeans in a good denim weight, at least by today's standards. The aren't what most people are probably used to in jeans though, and may not be what you expect.  First they come board stiff like Levi's did fifty years ago

I had 3 cats and its fabric, for some reason, is sort of "sticky" not smooth like my other blue jeans of the same style. 3.  leg length seemed generous and the leg opening at the bottom is more narrow than boot cut but ample to fit over my cowboy boots. I did end up returning these and buying 2 pairs of the Wrangler Cowboy Cut Relaxed fit (31wmz) in Indigo and stonewash. The Relax fit version were exactly what I needed for a good comfortable fit over these Original fit. The bad is the relax fit is not available in as many colors as the Original fit

I really wanted to like these jeans but being a guy that is not slim and having thicker legs and all they fit me far too tight in the leg and seat. I ordered 36x32 and the waist was fine, just a bit more snug as the waist is higher than other Wrangler Jeans like the Retro styles for example. leg length seemed generous and the leg opening at the bottom is more narrow than boot cut but ample to fit over my cowboy boots.  I really wish Wrangler would offer more in relaxed fit. These are great jeans but if you don't find a regular or slim fit jean to your liking these will likely not be for you either.

I’m curious to see if anybody else has noticed a decline in quality in Levi’s jeans over the last few years. I’ve bought a handful of Levi’s jeans in the last few year, all to have them rip either on the inside of the thigh or up the seam in the saddle. This happens within 6-12 months, which is crazy considering I’ve paid €110 for them. As the same time, I’ve also bought pairs of vintage Levi’s and haven’t had any problems with them, the issue is finding them in my size. And whilst I try to avoid fast fashion, I’ve bought a couple of the BDG jeans from Urban Outfitters in the last few years and found that they have lasted much longer. I’m wondering do people have any recommendation for hardwearing, long lasting jeans but from companies that aren’t as controversial as the URBN group.
