 Moving now to the rear camera. Now this is our video quality which is just 1080p 30 frames per second maximum unfortunately, but it's great that we do have the electronic image stabilisation, you can see as I walk along that it's not the best electronic image stabilisation, and I do find the 1080p quality to look a little bit washed out, there's a lot of noise and just a lack of detail for even 1080p footage, it's a little disappointing. So I do hope with Firmware Updates that they can improve this. Thanks for watching! So focusing first on the positive of this one, so good battery life, yes it's got 5G support so if you need those 5G speeds, you've got unlimited data and your carrier has 5G, well that's one reason to go for it

 GPS, it does work reasonably well. Now we get an okay average signal strength, it's almost in the green there, it does see a lot of satellites, and an accuracy of 1 meter is achievable here, because this is a MediaTek chip, not a Qualcomm. Widevine Security 1, so that is good to see, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, those kind of apps that need the DRM, they will be there, and you can see them and watch them in full HD. So we only get a full Camera 2 API level here, which level 3 would be ideal, but full still isn't bad, so GCam ports will work on this one, if you wanted to try and squeeze a little bit more out of that 48MP main camera that is on the rear

 So let's have a look at the build of this one. Very, very similar. Deja vu here because this really is the Redmi Note 10 5G.1, that those speeds are really getting up there now, which is good to see

 Widevine Security 1, so that is good to see, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, those kind of apps that need the DRM, they will be there, and you can see them and watch them in full HD. So we only get a full Camera 2 API level here, which level 3 would be ideal, but full still isn't bad, so GCam ports will work on this one, if you wanted to try and squeeze a little bit more out of that 48MP main camera that is on the rear. So battery run time at 90Hz, this is pretty good, okay, so 11 hours and 20 minutes, which is a definite positive of this phone, that it does have fairly decent battery life, so for most people, this will be around 7 to 8 hours of on-screen time, you're looking at, depending on your use, a possible 2 day phone, and as mentioned, the charge time is about 1 hour and 50 minutes for this one. I find the Poco M3 Pro 5G smartphone to be quite good looking. The yellow colour of this phone has really caught my eye and so has the other specs. Personally I’m a fan of the really fast 90Hz refresh rate that is gonna make this phone a champ for gaming. The 6GB RAM plus the Dimensity 700 5G chipset will surely play a major role.

Poco M3 Pro 5G review.

 The Poco comes with a 22.5 watt adapter, but it only supports up to 18 watt charging. We were able to charge the phone from 0 to just 33% in half an hour, the same as the Redmi, and not very fast. Now onto the Poco M3 Pro 5G's triple cameras

 Can you guess which one? If you said Redmi Note 10 5G, then I'd be pretty surprised actually, but kudos to you for being one of the special few that can keep track of Xiaomi's convoluted product release and naming scheme. The specs of these two phones are exactly the same. The only major difference is the appearance. Both are made of plastic, but the Poco has a glossy finish that looks like glass

 If you've already seen our review of the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G, you may have experienced some deja vu here, but you do get a different design, and in some markets the Poco is a little cheaper than the Redmi, so that's something. Of course, you should also keep in mind that if you're not especially after 5G, then you can find nicer features at this price in a 4G device.  Unfortunately, benchmarks wouldn't run on our review unit, just like we experienced with the Redmi Note 10 5G, but the UI and apps run smoothly, and although the GPU is a bit underpowered, games run fine on lower graphics settings. Powering the phone is a large 5000 mAh battery, and in our proprietary tests, it was able to score a very good endurance rating of 121 hours, the same as the Redmi Note 10 5G. The Poco comes with a 22.5 watt adapter, but it only supports up to 18 watt charging

So glad they came out with the Poco X3 Pro, what an excellent phone. 

I had the X3 NFC for about 3 months and really enjoyed it, just wanted a faster SoC.. then they launched the midnight black X3 Pro and not only was it miles faster, but that black/blue/purple paint looks great. 

People complain about the cameras, but it uses the IMX 582 just like many other phones and it's a passable sensor. With Gcam you can get some great slots. 

The only real downside is no amoled and no wireless charging, but for the price it's a no-brainer.

POCO F3 Vs X3 Pro Vs X3 NFC Comparison &amp; Re-Review With MIUI 12.5! [TechTablets]

 So like most super budget handsets out there, the POCO M3 Pro is certainly nothing special design-wise, although I do like the smart and simple aesthetics around the back. At least the obligatory branding isn't too obnoxiously huge here. Seriously, this is about as subtle as it gets from good old POCO. Of course, I naturally went and got the most boring model on offer, the Power Black

 And yeah, the 18W fast charge ain't particularly fast, but again, at this little price point, what are you expecting, the moon on a stick? Now, as far as I can tell, the POCO M3 Pro 5G sports that same camera tech as the original M3, although at least there's significantly less lag when you're using the camera app on this Pro model. The Pro's 48MP primary sensor captures photos in 12MP resolution by default, there is a 48MP mode if you want it, but I found this actually captures softer shots more often than not. Colour accuracy does vary wildly based on the lighting conditions and what the POCO M3 Pro feels like doing at the time. For instance, these two shots were taken on full auto just a couple of seconds apart, and yet the saturation levels are completely different

 But to be fair, all that griping aside, the POCO M3 Pro 5G does about as good a job as any of its similarly priced smartphone rivals at just taking everyday pics. Take just a little care and maybe whisper a prayer or two as you hit that shutter button and you will end up with a decent looking snap a fair amount of the time. The portrait mode tends to work alright as well, helped along by the dedicated 2MP depth sensor with a fully scalable bokeh effect. Sadly, you don't get an ultra wide angle lens here on the POCO M3 Pro 5G, although it probably wouldn't be up to snuff anyway

 Meanwhile, my indoor snaps and everything shot in more ambient light does suffer from grain. You do have a dedicated night mode when the lighting is dim, but while this can brighten up a pic, you will also find the results are still soft and occasionally fuzzy, while lighter elements are often blown right out. But to be fair, all that griping aside, the POCO M3 Pro 5G does about as good a job as any of its similarly priced smartphone rivals at just taking everyday pics. Take just a little care and maybe whisper a prayer or two as you hit that shutter button and you will end up with a decent looking snap a fair amount of the time

Reviewing Xiaomi's Poco M3 Pro 5G, a budget friendly smartphone starting from £179 in the UK (or cheaper in Xiaomi's many sales). You get the same camera tech and MiUI 12 experience as the original M3, but the Poco M3 Pro boosts performance with a Dimensity 700 chipset. That's great news for gamers who want to play PubG or CODM, while also adding 5G support for a cheap price.

I've been testing this budget 5G phone as my full-time handset so here's my final verdict, check out my unboxing for a full tour.

Starting with the best stuff - the performance is definitely a big upgrade vs the original, so now you can get gaming and everyday shenanigans are smooth. That FHD display is crisp and reasonably bright for the price (although the auto brightness is once again borked) while the battery life is great.

Xiaomi's MiUI 12 is still very much love or hate. It can be quirky here on the Poco M3 Pro 5G, with loads of crapware stuffed on top, but it adds some great features to Android as well. And while the camera undeniably struggles in tough conditions, it's fine for everyday pics.

Of course, at this price, the M3 Pro is up against the Poco X3 NFC/Pro, which aren't much more expensive, plus the Nokia 5.4 with its guaranteed updates and Moto G50 which also boasts 5G.

Not strictly a "WSIB" question, but for anyone seriously considering the Fold 2 - if you love having a big screen with you everywhere freaking GO FOR IT. I was hesitant when I picked up mine but now picking up my S8+ or iPhone X feels truly ancient and tiny. Yes its a chonker in the pocket but it feels like magic every single time I open it up, months later.

I have Galaxy Buds+ and have been very content with them. I plan on preordering an S21U which will come with Galaxy Buds Pro. Should I upgrade to these and sell my Buds+ (probably can get $70-80 used?) or sell the Buds Pro, which go for $200 new? Are the upgrades from the Buds+ to the Buds Pro worth ~$100 (I may need to shave $20 off of the asking price when selling the Buds Pro to move them)?

Okay so after seeing the S21 lineup...I'm so unsure.

Coming from an S9 I was strongly leaning towards switching to a Xiaomi Mi 11 (or the higher version when it gets announced).

The S21 and S21+ arent really pulling me in due to the FHD+ display, really want QHD+ but the ultra is So. Much. Money.

Just wanted some friendly advice from people more tech savvy than I. The Xiaomi Mi 11 almost seems too good to be true but cannot find anything to suggest this is the case. Any help would be awesome!

Gonna start this off by saying I'm a real dingus buuuuuuut, just got a pixel 4a a month ago and the screen already cracked. (No I didn't buy the warranty)


I've been spoiled the last year and a half with a Motorola Z2. I treated that baby rough, never bought a case for it and, it's the longest I've ever had a phone (they have a rough life with me).


If anybody here would have a good recommendation for what to look at buying next I'd appreciate it. Case recommendations are also welcome 😁

Have there been ANY reports of the S20 FE 5G getting the touchscreen fixed? Everything seems to point to hardware and I'd rather not spend ~600 playing the lottery on whether or not I'll get a device that has the defect. Not strictly WSIB, but just need a bit more confidence before I plunk the money down.

I am coming from Apple, and I am tired of it. Want something new. I was considering buying the S20, S21 or wait for the oneplus9 pro. 

What I value is battery life (mine is shit rn), decent photos and screen quality (1080p). Also, and quite importantly, I tend to keep my phone for 4+ years.. which one should I pick?

I can't do a fone with out an SD card. The Note 20 Ultra Samsung page is down, does that mean we will get a sale on that phone too?
