 This board is available in 151 154 157 and 161 I wrote this board at a Rappahoe Basin on a sunny bluebird day with warmer spring like temps with Moderate winds at time there was frozen chunder death cookies Firm fast groomers creamy groomers and a little bit of ice in the shade for good measure And I wrote it with my Rome black label bindings in my k2 thracsis boots Clearly you have a full directional freeride flex with this board and believe me it is on the stiffer side It is on the stiffer side. So what you get is slightly softer nose that stiffens up about midway back to the insert Pack then it progressively stiffens up through the tail. There's a little bit of torsional flux Not a crazy amount you can still slightly ankle steer it But don't expect to really be able to twist this board now when it comes to stability If you look at everything going on with this board from it being camber, it's a little bit wider It's just directional. It's designed for stability You get a tiny amount of cheddar and I do mean tiny in the nose that Never makes its way back on your foot And then when you're plowing through chop chunder ice whatever that midsection just takes over and just Goes right through it

 It's not sluggish It's just fast once you get it on edge Now the nice thing is that underbite does grip and it allows you to leverage even further over so you can really lean into your toe or heel side carves on this board and feel it lock in and That also helps for when you're pushing your knee into the center of the board to flex that camber and trying to drive it from The tail out just to get that power out of a turn It makes you feel a little bit more locked in short tight quick carves Medium mellow carves long hard drawn-out carves deep euro carves It's got you covered on all bases with this board This is a thing for laying trenches going fast looking back and going. Yeah, I did that Comparable boards the Kemper aggressor the K2 excavator the Amplit UNW-8 binding recommendations the now drives the Burton Cartel X The ride a 10. The 2022 Yes Optimistic Snowboard Review

Hey guys I’m looking to pre order a board for next season.

I currently have a ride twin pig that I enjoy but want something with faster turn initiation. After riding my friends Yes basic “Decade” edition board I really loved it but unfortunately it was a 2019 release only and they didn’t sell anymore.
I was wondering if you guys new another yes board that would be comparible?
I wear a size 12 boots so finding a wide board that doesn’t turn like a boat takes a little work . I seen the yes great and after some slight research it seems like maybe a good alternative but I’m not sure.

Which yes board to say yes to

 Now, that makes some sense because they merged the Y into this board, so you get a little more torsional flex. It becomes a little more playful. Sure, you lose some of that raw power that the Optimistic had, but it's more approachable. It's easier to turn with, and yes, you can't lay it over as aggressively as you could the old Optimistic, but you can still lay it over when you need to

 I rode this board at Rappahoe Basin on a sunny bluebird day that had moderate to high winds on the upper portion of the mountain. You had chopped chunder, ice, crust, kind of just a mix of conditions everywhere else, and I rode it with my Rome Black Label bindings and my K2 Thraxis boots. Compared to last year's Optimistic, this board has gotten a little bit softer, most noticeably in the torsional flex. Now with that said, you do have a directional flex, so softer nose progressively stiffening up to the tail with a moderate amount of torsional flex to it

The 2023 Yes Optimistic Snowboard Review

I’m looking to expand my quiver. Currently on a lib tech hot knife 157 and a d.o.p.e Braedon Wheeler 149. 

I just moved to whistler and from previous experience here, I know I’ll spend a lot of time in the trees.

I’m slightly concerned that the tight sidecuts on these boards may feel weird for turning on cat-tracks and groomers. 

I guess my main question is, if you have experience with a board like this, what were the pros and cons?

Anyone with experience on “short-fat” boards like the Yes 420, Jones Storm Chaser, or SpringBreak Powder Racers?

She just showed up at my door, and I am so stoked! Ready for the season now.

I’m 5’5, 165 lbs, foot size 7. I love riding all mountain going in and out of trees and hitting some good carves. Not too big on park but will mess around from time to time. Current boards are Never Summer Warlock 150 and a Burton Deep Thinker 154.

Is a Yes Standard right for me?

I'm looking for a board that can crush big, high-speed powder turns and eat up afternoon chop. I was thinking the Golden Orca might be the perfect fit but my concern is (other than price) difficulty navigating tight trees. 

Mammoth is my go-to mountain so the wider runs from the summit w/o trees get skied out fairly quickly. When those start to become less fun I head over to an area that has significantly more tree lines (wazoo, dragons tail.. anything off of chair 9 really) that can get pretty tight. 

I currently ride a t rice pro (hence my t rice biased choice above lol) so I don't want something that overlaps too much in functionality and focuses more on bigger lines, higher speeds, float, and at least a bit of switch. So is the Golden Orca the perfect fit or is there something better out there?
