 A little bit of grease down here on these little wheels, then spin this back together. Put the handle on. I'm gonna leave the handle on the right side, snug that down so we just want to take in pushing the button. Turn it on there

 It can be a real challenge and it's a little little part that comes in three little pieces, a spring and two little brass cups and a little pin. and if you lose it, you're gonna have to replace it. But let me show you what to do with it. So pay attention all the details on this and we'll make sure that you can get yours back together

 Just a very light layer and then this is kind of a wavy spring. This one happens to be cupped so I want to put the cup facing down and the next thing we put on is one of these. Now since again, since this is turning and it's metal on metal, I want a very light layer of this grease on here and I put the key in the keyway here and then a very light coating of grease and then put on my first drag washer. Again, a very light coating of grease on this drag washer is all it needs and then we'll put on and see that quicker still works just fine even with the grease in there

Last year my boys really got into fishing, and I am looking to purchase a couple of new rods and reels for them.  I see the Ugly Stick GX2 highly recommended; however, it looks like it only comes as a spinning rod/reel.

My oldest has been using my spinning reel most of last summer and he is pretty good with it; although, he gets a tangle/bird nest at least once each time we go.

The dilemma is my middle son (both close in age 7/6).  He isn't quite ready for a spinning reel; but, I would like to find something comparable so he is not still using a "baby pole"!  He used a spin caster all of last year, and I think he is close to stepping up to the spinning reel.  I don't mind getting out knots and tangles; but, I don't want him to have a issues and not have a good time.

Do I bite the bullet and get him on a spinning reel, or hold off?

Any recommendations on a good starter spin caster would be appreciated.

 Um, and it. It's a pretty good rod and reel fixture first, especially if you're trying to buy cheap language Walmart. They have all kinds of cheap spinning combos, but zip code is definitely probably one of the best moves you can possibly make because that is a brand that is well known and that's probably yeah. Zebco is probably the first thing most of you guys started on because that's what I started on

 They make spin cast. They make the same kind of spin cast, same thing with this same colors and everything. and uh now this action of this uh rod is moderate fast. uh and it's uh it's pre-spooled with eight pound line

Zebco Roam Review! (First Fishing Rod)

  This is for freshwater only. For those who don't know, Zebco is a great company, they make a lot of entry level things, you find them in box stores and sporting good stores everywhere. But they're durable, and this rig is probably a step up from what you'd find at the discount box store.  I learned to fish on a vintage Zebco - I started around age 3 or 4, my reel was probably 20 years old at the time, and I used it on and off for another 20 years

This one has quite a bit of plastic in it, so I'm not sure it will last as long as the vintage models, but seems durable enough for the casual angler

  It's fun to use, smooth operation, easy to switch to left or right handed. They call the gear ratio moderate fast, but at 5:2:1, it's really just a moderate, and that's fine. I don't think anyone shopping in this price range is going to need anything faster. This is not for the pro, but it's durable, fun, colorful, inexpensive

Love Zebco. Nice beginner/intermediate medium duty freshwater spinning rod & reel

 I've been fishing for over 25 years and camping/hiking for the same. Over all from. What I've got right here I'm excited to try it out! Sturdy grip. Reel seems well built
