Quality

To be safe, go for the variant without the Touch ID. Besides the Touch ID, our results are valid for any of the models, and the typing quality feels great.

Positive

Not so worthy successor

The very first impression is positive, it has a good overall feel to it. l it looks good (important to me in my home studio where the look is a big thing). It feels solid, no plasticky and the keys seem to be well positioned and ergonomic.

Negative

Worth Every Dollar

PERFECT. If the backlight stayed on then everybody would be complaining that the battery doesn't last long enough. Logitech had this in mind when building this keyboard. Everybody is also complaining about the weight of the keyboard saying its too heavy, it is in fact heavier than the standard desktop keyboard, but that's good, because if its bumped it won't move or if it is placed on a slanted surface then the weight of the keyboard and the rubber feet will prevent the keyboard from sliding off of it's surface

Design

This keyboard is nice but it’s not worth the money. It should be able to work with more than one wireless and Bluetooth item but it doesn’t. It also does not have back lit keys. It is sleek and nice but not worth the money for what it lacks

WARNING for Mechanical keyboard users: MX Keys is annoyingly LOW, otherwise a great keyboard.

It's basically free. - Packaging minimal yet very classy, well done. - Board looks and feels great, has a sort of subdued yet elite appearance, looks great in office or home setting. If you aren't one of those RGB nerds you will love it

Build Quality

Overpriced and feels like a child's toy

I specifically bought this Apple keyboard for the Touch ID but its not worth it considering how bad the keyboard feels. There is really no excuse for this apple. What the heck were you thinking? Did you not try this out first? Come on guys. What crap

So gamers, if you're looking for function, speed and sturdiness, rather than bling, this keyboard is the bomb.

Ergonomics

Failed non-Apple monitors, usability impared

Poor usability for simple common tasks - Can't adjust volume control, brightness, etc. easily even with an Apple monitor. Multiple steps just to get the volume control to work. Completely fails to adjust volume, brightness, etc

Impressive but I narrowly prefer Apple's own keyboard for use with my MacBook Pro

The Apple is just a little bit bette, just a little bit easier to type on. There is a little more resistance with the Logitech. My fingers glide across the keys of the Apple keyboard as I type. With the Logitech, I find myself having to back up because I didn't press down hard enough and therefore missed a character
