The over-ear earpads are memory foam covered with soft, breathable black cloth. The underside of the headband has a rectangular pad made of the same material as the earpads, mounted between two flexible, sturdy plastic bands.

Nice build, works (with caveats)

Fits perfectly. The mic is good, but picks up the ceiling fan above me and the occasional pops. This works great on the computer. The mic is properly powered and it's loud

Price Point

Get the mixamp used for half price, and get gen 2 or 3 a40 cans if your sold on open back astros(can be found for around $30 for a brand new one) or buy a set of headphones with a good reputation to use with the mixamp. These just are not worth it at full price.

They work, but... (updated)

Build quality seems ok, hence the overall 4 star rating value wise - cost for these is very reasonable for the quality you get.

Durability

Troublesome headset

This is not plug and play. Most expensive non fully functioning headset. The mic will not work unless you plug it directly to the controller sacrificing the reason most people bought it, Dolby surround. It ends up being no different than a 60$ Xbox one setup

Excellent call quality, I can hear the other caller, they can hear me -- perfectly. Durable -- heck, unbreakable -- I have already dropped them half-a-dozen times, and stepped on them twice. Still working great. Very comfy
