 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

 You have another little stretchy area. Here goes all the way to the bottom: a couple zipper pockets here you could put SD cards or batteries or remote shutters or whatever you like there and that's the the camera compartment. I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel.  It'S not like the foam that you would use for your backpack uh straps, it's like a very thick foam, and so they they sent me these, and i actually was able to do the install myself to upgrade this original backpack to be capable of handling a lot More weight and to just improve the frame and that's cool, i think it's important to reuse. You know products like this and to turn them into more functional, updated products when we can so we don't just throw out perfectly viable and useful backpacks and other type of hiking this one. So that's it! That'S my review of the bag. I think it's a great backpack, i i think it's um worth checking these out

 And then here i've got a long, a large version of a telephoto a little bit longer than your traditional 70 to 200, but essentially the the same grouping of lenses all right. You throw this thing on and you can walk for miles and you don't even feel the weight and why is it so comfortable? That'S the real question that we want to answer and we want to see these attributes in the bags that we choose for camera gear, so first thing comfortable, straps, obviously right, but the nice padding and the good form and the heavy duty foam. These are important factors in creating a comfortable, strap

 If you want stuff that needs to stay absolutely dry, this is a well protected area for your important documents and things like that. This bag has been incredibly comfortable. The most comfortable backpack I've ever had that's also a camera bag and, as you can see, this bag expands to infinity. I haven't actually reached a point where this bag is full, where it's overfilled and where it's been too heavy to carry or anything like that

 It opens on the back and you get full access to the whole bag here in the back, and it has a little special feature called the origami compartment here, which basically allows you to turn some storage space into camera space or, like I said, storage space, and You have more volume for other stuff in the back. It'S it's very shallow, I'm an Olympus ambassador and I shoot with Olympus glass, of course, which is small lenses and they fit in perfectly. But if you have slightly bigger lenses, you'll end up putting them in sideways. Like this, I know that for future versions of this backpack there will be it'll, be slightly deeper and then normal full-frame lenses will also fit in upright or the general full frame lens will fit in upright

 They're not just smaller and larger versions of the exact same pack. There are some differences. this one has a laptop compartment on the front. This one has it inside

 They both feature this top flap drawstring top system and then they both have space down in front of the box that actually holds the camera gear and so with compression straps on the sides. Again, this is true for both models. You can stuff the pack as full as you need to and then cinch them down, throw a tripod on the side, and and make it work. Of course, made out of, you know, ripstop nylon

 Back panels are very similar with this sort of ribbed material. It's very comfortable. The biggest thing that I like about the the suspension system here is the waist belt. Now a lot of packs have waist belts

 just like any other outdoor pack you'd expect. They have the same suspension system for the shoulder harnesses here which is great. They both feature internal metal frames which again standard for hiking packs to help distribute the load of the pack down onto your hips rather than on your shoulders. They have or this one has an adjustable velcro thing for adjusting depending on your your torso height which is great can you get a good fit

 Both of these materials are PU coated as well as DWR coated for extra durability. These zippers on the bag are from YKK The plastic hardware is from Juror Flex, and there is standard nylon webbing for all the straps. Starting from the front, the first thing you notice about this bag is this bungee cord system. Here, This is a higher tenacity bungee cord which is just good for lashing gear inside maybe a helmet or a thick jacket that you could just pop in through here and keep that secure during your hikes or your trails

Underneath that bungee cord system is a medium-sized Patagonia brand mark here and on the sides of the bungee cord system there is daisy chain webbing which is there to secure the bungee cord straps but also there for you to lash other gear on like a carabiner or a hereit clip. On the sides of the bag we have stretchy mesh water bottle pockets which are really good for fitting a number of different sized water bottles

 It'll be absorbed by that stuff a bit, so that's really helpful. What's also helpful is that this compartment can be used as a space for your hydration reservoir or hydration bladder. There is a little bit of tube porting here that you can put your tube through and it goes to the back panel of the bag and then you simply feed it through one of these accessory loops and then have hydration for a hike.  This bag is perfect for me, Laptop separate zipped and padded compartment, I have MacBook Pro 2018 so more than enough room lol.  you could easily fit a huge laptop in this compartment. 2 water bottle pockets with belt straps, (I loop thru Nalgene bottles and yeti to hold in place. And one main compartment for books etc and a smaller with a bunch of sleeves and pockets

Went to Rei , they did not have this one but he one below it $10 bucks cheaper. Nice bag but not enough for me so I ordered this one online and had shipped to store.  So this elastic cord that you have you can put it in there, strap it down, gives you a little bit of added stability. You also have some webbing up here on the front so you can clip your carabiner or any other things, and then you have a sternum strap right here across the center which you can move up and down right there that's also well done, and then from the front or the back you have this elastic cord for extra gear. It is adjustable so you can put your bike helmet on here, strap it in securely, or if you're wearing a jacket or a fleece sweater that you need to take off on a hike because it starts to warm up. You can also strap it right in here and tie it down with this bungee

 so this is a highly breathable mesh on the back panel and shoulder harness. so it's supposed to keep you comfortable all day. On the sides you have this stretch material which is done really nicely, then you just pop it out. It holds two large water bottles I've tried with a hydro flask

 For some of those bottles, they're a little bit taller. or maybe you put a tripod in here or an umbrella.  I put in a Macbook Pro 15 and it was fine. You also have this main compartment which zips down from the center so this main compartment is actually, uh, pretty roomy. It is also padded and you have a lined tablet sleeve so again, this part is padded. You can see the padding and you have some fleece inside to protect the screen, but on the inside notice how there's a bend right there or a fold so if you pop it out like this, it actually does add a significant amount of room
