We walk away from the Rains Backpack with a few key take-aways, not least of which are the less-than-ideal shoulder straps and its fiddly adjustment, the subpar internal visibility for this black variant, and the interior pocket’s zipper that was prone to jamming. It’s not all bad, though, as we still think that the styling’s appeal still holds up.

Our experience with the harness system wasn’t the most comfortable—especially when the bag was heavily loaded. The thin straps offered no cushion and dug into our shoulders, making it tiresome to carry for long periods. Plus, the shoulder straps took time to re-adjust, requiring us to take off the entire pack whenever we needed to—a problem we seldom encountered in other backpacks with more typical strap adjusters.

 I can't actually reach the d-ring with the spring loaded clip to close the bag, just because I filled it up too much, but you can actually adjust the strap that's attached to the d-ring so that you can reach the spring-loaded clip there. We go nice and clip done so three tiny six-packs are able to fit into the roll-top rucksack. Hopefully that gives you a good indication of the size and what you can fit into this bag. Okay

 Having a zip or rolling open at the top, this has a zip that goes all the way down. So if I show you here, it's got a super heavy-duty, waterproof, zip here and it runs down the length to the inside of the pack so bear with me. I'M trying to this one hand it one she's, not as easy as it sounds there you go so you can see the zip goes all the way down on the bit. That would be your back one of the advantages of that probably siren in the background

 To help keep you cool and on the shoulder straps, you can actually see you can adjust the angle and pull them down tighter or looser on the top as well, which is useful, and the waist belt has got a mesh pocket that zipped on both sides, which Is super useful when you're out hiking and obviously it's adjustable for that you can see that and then on the sides on both sides of the bag. You can see here there's a large mesh on the side here, which I use for things like water bottles or waterproof. So you can see again on this side same thing again, it's a nice big bungee there that you can put stuff into if you're, not using it completely full. You can see that there's two straps on the sides here on both sides that you can adjust and tighten up just to bring the bag in and make it thinner, which is really really as well and then on the back as well

 I start from the front or the back where the harness is you've got a harness here, that's built onto the bag, that's very adjustable! You can actually see it runs on these sort of rails, so you can adjust the height on it quite easily as well, which is really really cool and then the same down here at the bottom.  It was an adequate amount of support and comfort, without compromising either. I loaded the Ortlieb Atrack ST with a 70 meter climbing rope and gear and was unfazed by the load. Straps sort of fly around and they can fit to get in the way of other people or sometimes when you're walking

 Sometimes the zipper can be a bit commit a bit tough to open, especially make that stuck at odd angles. So any of this Batman's open, say, there's some angle and that there's some items in the backpack and the backpack is angled. It becomes sometimes hard to pull up over angle. Basically, you get this straight in the zipper and a little close
