Wanted to wait a bit to leave a review. I have used this coffee maker for 2 months everyday sometimes twice a day. I love the look of this cuisinart brewer very clean looking. It’s simple to use and the coffee is HOT which helps a lot with flavor

Extraction time is regulated by the small hole on the bottom of the filter holder slowing the flow of the water. However, this hole is so small, that if even so much as even a HINT of coffee ground misses your filter and gets inside the holder, it will clog and you will have a mess to clean up. I love the taste of the coffee this thing brews, but it clogs up so frequently that I cannot recommend it.

The carafe can't be completely emptied unless you remove the lid and turn it all the way upside down. The digital controls are unintuitive and unnecessarily complicated. After you've preprogrammed your coffee for a certain time, the display doesn't reflect that you've selected the bold or 1-4 cup settings. Some people will like the touchscreen/digital display features, but I prefer buttons

Coffee tastes great as it does not have a bitter aftertaste. Great for households where only 1 person drinks brewed coffee. Easy cleaning. Cons: I've been trying out this coffeemaker model for a week now and in the beginning, I didn't mind nuking the coffee straight into the microwave right after brewing as I found its' hotness a bit tepid for my taste

If this can still heat properly after a couple years and not fall apart, then its a win!

It’s a great coffee maker but beware if you live at a high elevation. I live in Colorado which is over a mile above sea level, consequently water boils here at about 203 degrees. The Cup-One relies on the boil to send the water up from the heating coils and down the spout to your coffee in the basket. The whole point of this coffee maker is to ensure the water is at the precise temperature and volume so it brews at Gold Cup standards which is between 195 and 205 degrees Fahrenheit

#1 The overly long and thick power cord comes out of the side of the machine as opposed to the back by the wall #2 The filter basket is plastic and feels like a Mr. Coffee maker you would find in a hotel room #3 There is no drip shutoff so you have to stand there waiting for the last drip or you will have a mess #4 the brew cycle takes a long time. Maybe all this is nitpicky but added together I didn't enjoy this machine.

Negatives: This model takes 13 minutes to brew my morning 8 cups of coffee! Prior model took only 8 minutes to do the same. Finish shows finger prints and is easy to scratch (ouch). Still a bit of a challenge to fill water reservoir from carafe without spilling the last ounce. Wish there was a 3rd option setting for touch screen that turns off power button

Add 17 grams of fresh medium-ground beans to the filter lined basket. Drip cool tap water over the grinds to saturate and let stand about 2 minutes. Add 6-7 fluid ounces of water to the tank. I've used the same brand of coffee beans and the same grind (I have a burr grinder) for years so I was able to compare the "quality of the cup" easily. I can without reservation tell you that the Cuisinart DCC-T20 coffee maker, paired with the Melitta #4 filters, makes an outstanding pot of coffee

After reading many reviews and looking at many coffee makers, I wanted a reliable, non-espresso, single-cup coffee maker and this one got very good marks from the coffee subreddit and from several friends who know coffee well. It's easy to assemble, easy to use, makes a single 10oz cup of coffee with extremely reliable, consistent temperatures in 5-6 minutes for the cost of water, one 10-cent filter, and 17oz of roasted coffee that I grind with my Encore grinder fresh. I usually drink a single cup per day and no one else in my family drinks coffee, so making a whole pot is a waste. This is cheaper than the pod machines, better coffee (if you buy it--and fresher), and still very fast and consistent
